The fastest way to progress in FarmVille 2: Country Escape is to let the Farm Orders board determine your production plan. Check the requests first, plant only the crops that support those requests or a workshop you will use soon, queue processed goods while crops grow, and harvest only when your storage has room. This order of operations prevents the two most common beginner problems: full storage and fields of crops that do not help finish anything.
Country Escape is designed for short mobile sessions and can be played when you are offline. Its systems are live, however, so crop limits, event rules, storage behavior, and store offers can change. Use the current in-game panels and Zynga Support pages for any value that affects a purchase or a long production plan.

The production loop that keeps a new farm moving
Every useful item follows a simple chain: a Farm Order identifies demand, a field crop supplies an input, a workshop converts that input into a saleable product, and the completed order returns rewards you can put toward capacity and progression. Treating those steps as one loop is more efficient than farming whatever is available and hoping a request appears later.

- Inspect Farm Orders. Read the current requests before planting or harvesting. Note which raw crops and processed goods are needed and which requests can be completed with items already in storage.
- Plant from the General Store. The documented path is to open the General Store, choose a crop, drag it onto the farm, water it, and wait for harvest.
- Queue workshops. Workshops take goods grown on the farm and turn them into products that can be sold at the Farm Orders board. If a workshop is idle and you have a needed input, start the next useful recipe.
- Complete the best available requests. Favor orders that use goods you already have, clear a crowded storage area, or advance a production chain you intend to use next.
- Reinvest deliberately. Put rewards into capacity or progression only when they remove a real bottleneck, such as insufficient storage or an unavailable part of the production chain.
This sequence also works when you have only a few minutes. A short session can begin with checking orders, queueing a workshop, planting one needed crop, and completing any request that is already ready.

What should you plant first?
There is no universally best crop. The right choice depends on what the board is asking for, what your workshops can process, how much space remains in storage, and how long you expect to be away from the game. Use this priority order:
- Plant for a live order. If an order needs a raw crop and you can grow it now, that is normally the most useful field space.
- Plant an input for a workshop you will use soon. This is worthwhile when a workshop is about to become idle or when its output appears on an order you expect to complete.
- Plant general stock only after the first two needs are covered. Extra inventory is less valuable than a crop that completes a request, particularly when storage is tight.
Compare candidate crops using five practical questions rather than a memorized list of timers or payouts:
| Question | Why it matters | Beginner decision |
|---|---|---|
| Does a current Farm Order need it? | It converts field time directly into a reward. | Choose it first when the order is otherwise blocked. |
| Will a workshop consume it soon? | A raw crop has more value when it keeps a productive workshop running. | Plant enough for the next useful queue, not an oversized stockpile. |
| How much storage will the result occupy? | Harvesting without room can stop the loop. | Check free capacity before planting a large batch. |
| How long will the complete chain take? | The crop timer is only part of the wait; workshop processing may take longer. | Start longer chains before leaving the game and shorter ones before an active session. |
| Is any input scarce? | A common crop may still be a poor choice if the workshop needs a limited ingredient. | Protect scarce inputs for the highest-value or most time-sensitive request. |
Exact timers and payouts are not stable planning data. Read the values shown in your current game build instead of relying on an old table or a screenshot. A patch can change a duration, recipe, reward, or unlock requirement without changing the basic production loop.

- Open the General Store from your farm interface.
- Select the crop you intend to grow.
- Drag the crop onto an available land plot. The documented system limits a player to a maximum of six similar crops of each type for Land Crops; check the current build because live-service limits can be revised.
- Water the planted crop.
- Leave it to grow, then return when the harvest is ready.
If you cannot place another copy of a crop, do not assume the game is malfunctioning. First check whether you have reached the documented six-of-a-kind land-crop limit, whether the plot is occupied, and whether the current version displays a different restriction.
How to fill Farm Orders quickly
Fast order completion comes from reducing idle time, not from growing the largest possible field. The board is your production schedule: every request tells you which output has immediate use.

Sort requests by readiness
Start with orders that can be completed from existing inventory. They free storage and produce rewards without waiting for a field or workshop. Next, choose orders that need one short production step. Leave requests requiring several scarce inputs until you know they will not block a more useful chain.
Match the order to the complete chain
For a processed request, count every stage: the raw crop, the workshop queue, and the final hand-in. Planting the crop is not the same as being ready to submit the order. If the workshop is already busy, reserve the input and plan around the queue rather than harvesting more items that will sit unused.

| Order situation | Action | Reason |
|---|---|---|
| All required goods are in storage | Complete it now. | You receive the reward and create storage space immediately. |
| One raw crop is missing and a plot is free | Plant that crop, water it, and keep the order as the active target. | The field is working toward a known outcome. |
| A processed item is missing but its input is available | Queue it in the appropriate workshop. | Processing time becomes the only remaining wait. |
| The order needs a scarce input also required elsewhere | Compare the competing requests before consuming it. | Using the item on the wrong request can delay the whole chain. |
| Storage is nearly full before harvest | Complete or sell a relevant order first. | Making room prevents a harvest from being blocked. |
Do not treat every request as equally urgent. A low-value request that consumes a rare input can be less useful than one that clears several common goods or unlocks your next production step. The game does not provide a universal priority value in the available documentation, so make the comparison from your visible requirements, capacity, and current goals.
Keep a small, purposeful reserve
Reserve enough common inputs to start a workshop when you return, but avoid filling every slot with speculative stock. A reserve is useful when it supports a known recipe or a request you can finish soon; it is wasteful when it merely postpones a harvest you cannot store.
What workshops are for
Workshops are the conversion stage between farming and selling. Zynga’s Getting Started documentation describes them as the places where goods grown on the farm are made into something that can be sold at the Farm Orders board. In practical terms, a workshop changes a raw input into an output with a different order use, storage footprint, and waiting time.

Queue the next useful item
Whenever a workshop is idle, check the order board and your available inputs. Queue the product that supports a current request or the next chain you have deliberately chosen. Starting a random recipe can consume an ingredient needed for a more useful order and leave the workshop unavailable when you need it.

Plan around the queue, not just the field
A crop can be ready while its workshop is still processing a previous item. Before harvesting another batch, look at the workshop queue and your free storage. If the processed output will occupy the same limited storage as the raw input, completing an order before harvesting may be the better move.
When a workshop should stay idle
Idle time is normally lost production, but filling a queue with unwanted goods is not automatically better. Let a workshop wait when starting a recipe would consume a scarce input, create storage pressure, or produce an item with no current order and no clear near-term use. Once a useful input is available, resume production.
Storage and the Crop Silo
Storage is the constraint that links every part of the farm. Crops, workshop goods, and other resources occupy capacity, so a field can be ready while you are unable to collect its harvest. The official support hub maintains a Crop Silo section; consult the current version for the exact capacity rules and any upgrade requirements instead of copying numbers from an older guide.
Use storage as a live dashboard
- Check free space before planting a batch that will mature together.
- Complete a ready Farm Order before harvesting if the order will remove stored goods.
- When an order is not worth completing, sell a relevant item only when doing so creates room for a crop or product you have a clear plan to use.
- Do not let raw crops and processed goods accumulate without an order or workshop queue behind them.
Recover from a full silo
- Stop planting and pause harvesting until you know where space will come from.
- Inspect the Farm Orders board for a request that consumes items already in storage.
- Complete that request if its requirements and reward fit your current plan.
- If no suitable request is ready, sell a relevant surplus rather than discarding the items needed for an active chain.
- After space is available, harvest the most time-sensitive crop first and restart the workshop queue.
Capacity upgrades are valuable when storage, rather than field or workshop time, is your recurring bottleneck. Do not spend rewards on capacity simply because an upgrade is visible; confirm that it will allow a production cycle you otherwise cannot complete.

Keys and other premium resources
Premium resources are accelerators, not a replacement for planning. A key or paid offer can save time, but spending one on a routine, low-value request reduces your options for a later bottleneck.
Good reasons to spend
- An upgrade unlocks storage or production capacity that you repeatedly need.
- A premium action completes a chain required for a time-sensitive objective you have intentionally chosen.
- The spend prevents a long interruption when a workshop or field is otherwise blocking several useful orders.
Reasons to keep the resource
- The request can be completed naturally with one crop cycle or workshop queue.
- You are spending only because the board is inconvenient, without a capacity or progression benefit.
- The item is scarce and there is no clear plan for the next few sessions.
Store offers are regional and can change. Zynga’s official store notes that availability and pricing vary by region, so treat any displayed deal as a current offer for your account, not a permanent price or a guaranteed reward. Confirm the currency, contents, expiration, and purchase requirements in the live store before committing.
Farm Co-ops, Farm Adventures, and events
Country Escape includes Farm Co-ops and Farm Adventures for collecting rare goods, while the support hub also lists Events, Crop Silo, and Game Guides sections. These systems add goals beyond the ordinary order loop, but their rules and objectives are live-service content.
Use special activities without breaking the core loop
When a co-op or event asks for an item you can produce efficiently, fold that request into your normal planting and workshop plan. Avoid abandoning a nearly complete Farm Order merely because an event panel displays a new objective; compare the time, storage use, and inputs before changing production.
Check the current objective text
Event requirements, deadlines, and rewards can change with updates. Read the objective in the current in-game panel and use the official Help Center for clarification. Do not rely on a guide that lists an old event schedule or a fixed reward.

Offline play and short-session planning
Zynga presents Country Escape as mobile-optimized and playable even when not connected to the internet. Offline access is useful for checking a farm routine in places without a reliable connection, but online features, account synchronization, store transactions, co-op activity, and live events may require connectivity or may behave differently. If a reward or purchase matters, reconnect and verify that the game has synchronized before closing the app.
A five-minute session
- Open Farm Orders and identify one request you can complete or advance.
- Queue an available workshop input.
- Plant and water the crop that supports that request.
- Complete any ready order to free storage.
A longer session
- Review every active request and choose a primary target.
- Harvest only crops that fit your available capacity.
- Queue workshops in an order that avoids consuming scarce inputs too early.
- Use the remaining time to complete secondary orders or prepare the next cycle.
- Before leaving, plant a crop or queue a workshop item whose wait matches the time until you expect to return.
Common beginner problems and fixes
I planted crops but none help my orders
Stop adding general stock. Re-read the board, select the raw input for one active request, and use the next workshop slot for its required processed output. Complete or sell relevant surplus before planting again.
My workshop is idle even though I have crops
The crop may not be the input that workshop needs, or the required ingredient may be reserved for another request. Check the recipe shown by the workshop, compare it with the board, and queue only a product with a clear use.
I cannot harvest a finished crop
Check storage first. Complete a ready order or sell a relevant surplus, then harvest the crop with the most immediate use. If the field itself blocks the action, verify whether you have reached the current land-crop limit or whether the plot is occupied.
I ran out of a scarce resource
Do not spend premium currency immediately to repair a low-value order. Rebuild the chain with common inputs, wait for the next natural production opportunity, and reserve the scarce item for an order or unlock that removes a larger bottleneck.
An event or store offer looks different from a guide
Trust the current in-game panel and the official support or store page. Country Escape receives live updates, and regional offers are not permanent values.
A practical progression checklist
- Keep Farm Orders visible before deciding what to plant.
- Use the General Store path to plant, drag, water, and wait for the harvest.
- Remember the documented maximum of six similar Land Crops of each type, and verify that limit in the current build.
- Keep workshops working on outputs that support an order or a deliberate next step.
- Protect storage space by finishing a relevant order before harvesting into a full silo.
- Upgrade capacity when it is the recurring constraint, not merely because an upgrade is available.
- Spend keys or other premium resources only for meaningful capacity, progression, or time-sensitive objectives.
- Check current event, co-op, Crop Silo, and store rules after major updates.
The central habit is simple: produce toward a visible use. Orders tell you what matters now, workshops determine how raw crops become saleable goods, and storage determines how much of that plan you can hold. Once those three screens agree, your farm can progress steadily without wasting field space, workshop time, or premium resources.
