Neither chipset is a clear all-round winner in the available comparisons. NanoReview’s Geekbench 6 aggregates put the Exynos 1680 slightly ahead in CPU scores, while its AnTuTu 11 aggregate favors the Dimensity 8300. Those figures come from database results rather than a controlled test of two phones, so they are useful context—not a guarantee of how any particular handset will perform.
Exynos 1680 vs Dimensity 8300 Ultra at a glance
NanoReview says the Dimensity 8300 Ultra is identical to the Dimensity 8300 in technical specifications and performance. The comparison figures below therefore use its Dimensity 8300 data as a proxy for the Ultra, with that equivalence attributed to NanoReview rather than independently confirmed by MediaTek.

| Benchmark | Exynos 1680 | Dimensity 8300 | Higher listed result |
|---|---|---|---|
| Geekbench 6 single-core | 1,382 | 1,375 | Exynos 1680 |
| Geekbench 6 multi-core | 4,477 | 4,217 | Exynos 1680 |
| AnTuTu 11 total | 1,390,055 | 1,604,305 | Dimensity 8300 |
For the AnTuTu 11 comparison, NanoReview reports 14 submitted Exynos tests and 103 Dimensity tests. Unequal sample counts and database aggregation make the result less like a same-phone, same-conditions head-to-head test. Geekbench’s small Exynos lead is likewise not proof that every Exynos 1680 phone will beat every phone using the Dimensity chip.
Another publisher reports a different AnTuTu picture: 91mobiles lists 1,392,494 for Exynos 1680 and 1,299,678 for Dimensity 8300 Ultra. The figures should not be combined with NanoReview’s totals as though they came from one test pool. The disagreement is a reason to treat published aggregate scores as indicative, not decisive.

CPU performance: a narrow Geekbench edge for Exynos
In NanoReview’s Geekbench 6 results, the Exynos 1680 scores 1,382 versus 1,375 in single-core, and 4,477 versus 4,217 in multi-core. That gives Exynos the edge in this source’s CPU-focused results, but the single-core gap is very small. These are database aggregates, not scores from a controlled comparison of specified phone models.
NanoReview lists the Dimensity 8300’s peak CPU clocks higher than those it lists for the Exynos 1680. Clock speed alone does not settle which chip is faster: core design, sustained operation, cooling and handset tuning also matter. No same-device or sustained-load test is established by the cited figures.

Graphics and AI: what is established
Graphics
Samsung identifies the Exynos 1680 GPU as Xclipse 550 and says its architecture delivers a 16% performance boost versus its predecessor. That is Samsung’s generational claim, not a direct comparison against the Dimensity 8300 Ultra. NanoReview lists Mali-G615 MP6 graphics for the Dimensity 8300.
On-device AI
Samsung rates the Exynos 1680 NPU at 19.6 TOPS and describes it as supporting on-device AI workloads. A comparable Dimensity 8300 Ultra AI figure is not stated in the cited sources, so the available information does not establish which chip has stronger AI performance.

Connectivity, cameras and video
Samsung’s Exynos 1680 product page specifies Wi-Fi 6E support, up to 200 MP camera support and 4K video capture at 60 frames per second. NanoReview lists 4K at 60 fps capture and AV1 support for the Dimensity 8300. The cited sources do not provide a consistently vendor-confirmed, side-by-side connectivity and multimedia specification set for both chips; these capabilities should not be treated as a full feature comparison.

Which chipset should you choose?
Choose between actual phones, not processor names in isolation. A chipset-level comparison cannot establish which complete device is the better buy. Before deciding, compare:
- Price and market: check the exact model and regional variant available to you.
- Sustained performance and heat: handset cooling and software tuning affect performance beyond short benchmark runs.
- Battery life: compare reviews or tests of the specific phones rather than inferring endurance from chip specifications.
- Display and cameras: the screen and camera hardware are features of the phone, not guaranteed by the chipset alone.
- Connectivity: verify the model’s network bands and wireless features for your region.
- Memory, storage and software support: compare the configurations and update commitments of the exact handsets.
No directly comparable handset pair or current regional availability is established by the cited sources. The chip data can narrow the questions to ask, but it cannot identify a specific phone as the winner.
