Prestige lets eligible players restart PvE profile progression while retaining some gear and a portion of skills and weapon mastery—up to 50%, not necessarily all of either. The reset is limited to PvE Zone; it does not reset progression in every Tarkov mode.
What Patch 1.2.0.0 adds
Battlestate Games describes Prestige as a high-level progression mechanic: players can begin their Tarkov exploration again in exchange for unique rewards while retaining part of their progress. The update introduces six Prestige levels for PvE Zone. The official notes do not provide a complete level-by-level requirements list, and the “biggest” label is not supported by a comparison of update sizes.

The release is focused on PvE improvements, but Prestige is not the only change. Patch 1.2.0.0 also includes bot behavior adjustments, quality-of-life changes, loot and extraction changes on Customs and Interchange, a Shoreline audio rework, and technical fixes. See the official Steam patch announcement for the update details.
What PvE Prestige resets—and what it does not
Each Prestige level resets profile progression only in PvE Zone. It is not a full reset of every Escape from Tarkov mode. Battlestate Games also said in its pre-release explanation that PvE Prestige does not reset a character’s EFT: Arena progression.

- Custom made based on beanie from Escape from Tarkov
- A great gift for the holidays or to add to your Tarkov collection
- Perfect for raiding!
On prestiging, players can retain some gear and a percentage of skills and weapon mastery, with retention capped at up to 50%. The notes do not promise that all gear or any fixed share of every player’s skills and mastery will carry over; the amount retained depends on the mechanic’s rules.
Prestige requirements
Requirements become more demanding at later Prestige levels. The official notes identify possible requirements involving character level, tasks, Hideout construction, completion of the main story, stash items and money, and skill levels. They do not specify a complete requirement breakdown for each of the six levels.

- Card's inspiration comes from Game, high similarity to the original.
- The cards is made of PVC.And all cards have a card holder to protect them.
- Excellent material and thickness.A great replica!
- Best choice for game fans, halloween cosplay prop and even cards collectors.
- Include:7pcs cards
The first PvE Prestige level has reduced requirements compared with PvP Prestige. That is the specific comparison Battlestate Games establishes; it does not mean every PvE level has easier requirements than its PvP counterpart.
Rewards and what carries across modes
The final patch notes distinguish rewards that stay with a PvE character from rewards available across modes. Their listed cross-mode rewards earned through PvE Prestige include TarCoins, unique dogtags, Shooting Range Targets, Hideout Posters, melee weapons, Tarko figurines, and a unique Secure container Gamma. The pre-release explanation also named unique versions of the NKVD Finka knife, Akula dagger, and Gamma container, and said some unlocked items would become available across modes; the shipped patch notes’ reward list is the clearest guide to what the update includes.

For the mode distinction and exact reward categories, consult the final patch notes. An item described as PvE-character-only should not be assumed to transfer to other modes, while a cross-mode reward is not the same as carrying over the player’s entire inventory or progression.
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone. What to check before choosing Prestige
- Confirm that you are willing to reset your PvE Zone profile progression; the reset applies to that mode.
- Review the current requirements for your next level, since the list can involve character level, tasks, Hideout, story completion, stash contents and skills.
- Check which gear and progress the current rules let you retain. The announced ceiling of up to 50% for skills and weapon mastery is not a guarantee that all progress is kept.
- Separate PvE-character rewards from cross-mode rewards when deciding whether the unlocks justify restarting.
Because requirements and patch behavior can change with later hotfixes, use the in-game Prestige screen and current official notes for the rules that apply to your character.
