Epoch Operation: Taubound launched on October 15, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. Eastern Daylight Time (EDT), which was 15:00 UTC. That means the launch was 8:00 a.m. in California, 9:00 a.m. in Mountain Time, 10:00 a.m. in Central Time, 11:00 a.m. in New York, and 4:00 p.m. in the United Kingdom.
The operation ran through November 17, 2026. Digital Extremes described it as a one-time Warframe operation and stated that it would not return, so the date matters if you wanted its Moonflesh rewards, cosmetics, or event dialogue.

The launch time to use as your reference
All conversions start with the published announcement: October 15, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. ET. On that date, Eastern Time was observing daylight-saving time, so the specific offset was EDT (UTC−4), not standard-time EST (UTC−5).

Converting from that UTC instant prevents the most common mistake: treating “ET” as one permanent offset throughout the year.

Taubound launch times by location
| Location or zone | Local launch time | Offset on October 15, 2026 |
|---|---|---|
| Pacific Time (California, Los Angeles) | 8:00 a.m., October 15 | PDT, UTC−7 |
| Mountain Time | 9:00 a.m., October 15 | MDT, UTC−6 |
| Central Time | 10:00 a.m., October 15 | CDT, UTC−5 |
| Eastern Time (New York, Toronto) | 11:00 a.m., October 15 | EDT, UTC−4 |
| UTC | 3:00 p.m., October 15 | UTC±0 |
| United Kingdom | 4:00 p.m., October 15 | BST, UTC+1 |
| Central European Summer Time | 5:00 p.m., October 15 | CEST, UTC+2 |
| India Standard Time | 8:30 p.m., October 15 | IST, UTC+5:30 |
| Japan Standard Time | 12:00 a.m., October 16 | JST, UTC+9 |
The United States entries use the regional daylight-time rules in force on October 15. The United Kingdom was still on British Summer Time, while Japan does not observe daylight saving, so the date advances to October 16 there.
How to convert the time yourself
- Write down the anchor: October 15, 2026 at 11:00 a.m. ET.
- Resolve the abbreviation for that date: October 15 falls in Eastern Daylight Time, UTC−4.
- Convert to UTC: add four hours, producing October 15 at 15:00 UTC.
- Apply your location’s offset on October 15, 2026: add hours for zones east of UTC and subtract hours for zones west of UTC.
- Check the calendar date: locations far enough east can reach October 16 even though the launch was October 15 in North America.
For example, a player in London converts 15:00 UTC by adding one hour for BST, giving 16:00 (4:00 p.m.) on October 15. A player in Tokyo adds nine hours, reaching midnight at the start of October 16.
Why “ET” can produce the wrong answer
ET is a regional label covering both Eastern Standard Time and Eastern Daylight Time. The offset changes when daylight-saving rules change. If you subtract five hours because you remember EST, you would place this launch at 16:00 UTC, one hour late.

The same issue affects conversions made for a different season. A winter announcement that says 11:00 a.m. ET normally corresponds to EST (UTC−5), while this October announcement corresponded to EDT (UTC−4). Always identify the offset for the event’s actual date rather than relying on the abbreviation alone.
When the operation was available
Epoch Operation: Taubound opened on October 15, 2026 and ran through November 17, 2026. The published event description called it a one-month operation, but the stated closing date is the authoritative deadline. The materials do not establish a separate closing hour, so November 17 should be treated as the final calendar date rather than as a guaranteed end-of-day time in every region.
Digital Extremes also gave an unusually clear warning: “There will be no reruns of Epoch Operation: Taubound.” If you missed the event window, do not expect a later rotation that restores its temporary rewards or event conversations.

What Taubound involved
The operation represented a community effort to open a route toward the Tau System using the Sentient Mothership Praghasa. During the event, players traveled to mission nodes across Eris, collected the Moonflesh resource, and traded it to Praghasa.

Praghasa exchanges provided digital Warframe rewards, including:
- Contegorus Armor Set
- Vacis Amp Skin
- Dhampyre Syandana
- Glyphs and emblems
- Weapon-related items
- Arcanes
- Archon Shards
- Kuva, Credits, and Endo
These were in-game items and currencies, not physical products. The operation also delivered daily narrative updates as the community progressed.

Who could access the operation
Completing Vor’s Prize was enough to make the event available. Digital Extremes lifted the normal Star Chart and Junction requirements for Taubound, so a player did not have to unlock Eris through the ordinary progression route first.
This exception applied to the temporary operation. It did not remove the requirements for unrelated quests or permanent Codex content.
Taubound and the Tau Prologue are different
The operation is easy to confuse with the Tau Prologue Quest, because both were associated with October 15, 2026. They are separate pieces of content with different availability and requirements.

| Point of comparison | Epoch Operation: Taubound | Tau Prologue Quest |
|---|---|---|
| Availability | Temporary: October 15 through November 17, 2026 | Permanent Codex content added October 15, 2026 |
| Access requirement | Complete Vor’s Prize; normal Star Chart and Junction gates were lifted | Requires The Hex and The Old Peace |
| Content | Moonflesh collection, Praghasa exchanges, event rewards, and daily event dialogue | Single-player narrative prologue content |
| After the event | No reruns were planned | Remains available as permanent content |
The Hex and The Old Peace were not required to harvest Moonflesh during Taubound. Conversely, having access to the permanent prologue did not extend the operation’s November 17 deadline.
Common conversion mistakes
- Using EST instead of EDT: October 15 was four hours behind UTC, not five.
- Subtracting a fixed number from Eastern Time: begin with 15:00 UTC, then apply the destination zone’s date-specific offset.
- Ignoring the date change: Tokyo reached October 16 at midnight even though North American players were still on October 15.
- Assuming the event ended at the same clock time everywhere: the published information gives November 17 as the final date, not a universal local cutoff hour.
- Confusing the prologue with the operation: the permanent quest and the temporary rewards followed different access rules.
If you are checking after November 17
The operation’s Moonflesh exchanges, temporary reward track, and event-specific dialogue were tied to the October 15–November 17 window. Digital Extremes stated that Taubound would not rerun, so those event activities should not be treated as currently obtainable after the deadline.
The Tau Prologue is the exception to that timing: it is permanent Codex content, but it has its own prerequisites—The Hex and The Old Peace—and it is not a replacement for missed Taubound rewards.
