Droid Fusion combines three droids into one. Droid Tycoon currently has 17 named, fusion-exclusive results, ranging from Rare to Mythic. The reported unlock point is Rebirth 3, added in patch v1.27 on August 22, 2026. Because recipes and unlocks are maintained by the player community and can change between versions, use this list to prepare ingredients, then verify the recipe in your current Fusion Lab before spending a scarce droid.

What Droid Fusion does
Fusion consumes three input droids and creates one output. The named recipes below are fixed combinations: if the three required droids are present, the corresponding fusion-exclusive droid is selected. Slot order does not matter, so you can place the ingredients in any of the three positions.

The community references count 17 fixed fusion droids. Each has a role—Worker, Astromech, or Battle—and a rarity tier. Fusion is therefore both a collection system and a planning decision: an ingredient used for one result may be unavailable for another recipe or for a Rebirth requirement.

The documented cost is the three droids you place into the Lab. Those inputs are consumed when the fusion is confirmed. The references do not establish a separate currency, ticket, or real-money purchase requirement, and no outside product is needed to perform Fusion.
When Fusion unlocks
A player-maintained Droidex FAQ reports that Fusion arrived in patch v1.27 on August 22, 2026 and becomes available at Rebirth 3. Treat that as a reported requirement rather than an official guarantee. If your current save does not show the station at Rebirth 3, open the Fusion Lab and check the in-game progression message; a later patch may have changed the trigger or the displayed name.
The detailed Droidex guide was reviewed for version v1.33.0 on October 3, 2026. Droid Tycoon Tools states that its recipe table refreshes from a community spreadsheet. Neither reference is an official Epic Games recipe ledger, so the Fusion Lab in your current game is the final authority after an update.

For a fixed recipe, the result uses the lowest variant among the three ingredients. For example, two Rainbow inputs and one Diamond input produce a Diamond-version result, not a Rainbow one. To target a higher-variant output, bring all three required ingredients to that variant before fusing.
This rule applies to the named result as well as its variant. The recipe determines the droid and rarity name; the weakest input determines how far that result is upgraded. A single lower-tier component can therefore waste two carefully prepared higher-tier materials.

Fixed recipes are checked before generic Fusion outcomes. This priority matters when a combination could otherwise qualify for a general upgrade: if the exact named ingredients are present, the fixed recipe is the one to expect under the documented rules.
Complete fixed recipe list
The table uses 2× when a recipe needs two copies of the same droid. Rarity is the tier of the named output, not a claim about the variants of your inputs. In the ZRO-TEC recipe, 2BB is the droid name; it is not shorthand for two copies of BB.

Ingredients that require the most planning
Several ingredients are needed in more than one recipe, and some require multiple copies in a single recipe. The practical count below is the total number of copies demanded across the listed recipes, not merely the number of recipe names. For example, ARG is used once for WHL-EX and twice for ARM-CORE, so preparing both targets requires three ARG copies.

The most important conflicts are easy to miss. GROUNDMECH is required by both SCRP-R and QIK-BIT; KX is used by RIV-3T and twice by X-ONK; and B1 HEAVY is needed once for N-UL but twice for SRV-O. If you intend to craft both outcomes in a pair, reserve the full copy total before fusing either one.
A safe Fusion workflow
- Reach the reported unlock point. Progress to Rebirth 3, then inspect the Fusion Lab. If the station is locked, follow the requirement shown in your current game rather than assuming the older report still applies.
- Choose the output first. Decide whether you need a Worker, Astromech, or Battle droid and select the exact result from the table. Do not begin by throwing together three spare droids; generic and fixed outcomes follow different rules.
- Audit competing recipes. Search your inventory for every ingredient in the target recipe, especially ARG, ID10, B1 HEAVY, GROUNDMECH, KX, and any other droid listed more than once.
- Check Rebirth plans. The references warn that some Fusion ingredients may also be required for Rebirth. Confirm that spending them will not block your next progression requirement.
- Match variants. Since the lowest input variant controls the output variant, upgrade or replace a lower-tier ingredient if you are aiming for a particular result tier.
- Place the three inputs and read the preview. Slot order is irrelevant. Before confirming, compare the displayed result, rarity, role, and variant with your intended recipe.
- Confirm only when you accept the cost. Fusion consumes all three inputs. There is no indication in the cited guides of an undo function, so treat the confirmation as permanent.

- Generic rarity upgrade: a qualifying combination can produce a random droid at the next rarity.
These outcomes are separate from the 17 fixed combinations. A generic rarity upgrade is not a way to select WHL-EX, X-ONK, or another named result. Exact behavior for newer variants may depend on current game rules, so use the in-game Fusion Lab preview when a combination is not one of the named recipes.
Choosing which recipe to make first
Prioritize the result you actually need
Rarity alone is not a complete priority. A Mythic Worker may be the right first craft for an economy-focused roster, while a Battle or Astromech result may fit a different objective. Start with the role and result you want, then work backward to the ingredients. If your goal is collection completion, a lower-variant copy can still unlock the named entry; if your goal is a powerful variant, delay the fusion until all three inputs match.
Prefer recipes with no strategic overlap
If two targets compete for the same scarce ingredient, make a deliberate choice instead of fusing the first valid combination. For example, BDX EXPLORER is shared by BTL-R and AXI-POD, while R7 is shared by FUS-3 and AXI-POD. Crafting one immediately can postpone the other. The same issue applies to BB9 between RO-TOR and QIK-BIT, and to LOADLIFTER between LUG-G and LOW-MO.
Separate collection goals from variant goals
If your objective is simply to unlock a named entry, use the available variants and accept the lowest resulting variant. If you are building a high-variant roster, gather matching variants for all three inputs before confirming; a single lower component determines the result.
Common mistakes and fixes
The Fusion Lab is missing
Verify that your save has reached the reported Rebirth 3 threshold and that the game has installed the update that introduced Fusion. If the station remains unavailable, trust the current in-game requirement because community references can lag behind a patch.

The expected named result does not appear
Recheck spelling, copy counts, and droid identity. ZRO-TEC needs two ID10 and one 2BB; X-ONK needs two KX and one GONK; recipes with a repeated ingredient cannot be completed with only one copy. Also confirm that no ingredient is a similarly named but different droid.
The output variant is lower than expected
Inspect all three input variants. The lowest one controls the output for a fixed recipe, so replace or upgrade that component before trying again. Two Rainbow droids cannot compensate for one Diamond droid if the intended output requires Rainbow inputs.
A needed droid disappeared
Fusion is consumptive. Review your recent confirmations and maintain a written inventory of ingredients reserved for other recipes or Rebirth before opening the Lab again.
A recipe changed after an update
Compare the current Fusion Lab preview with the community tables. Droid Tycoon Tools and Droidex are version-sensitive references; the in-game recipe and preview should take precedence when they disagree.
Version and source caveat
The recipe and unlock information above comes from community-maintained Droid Tycoon references: Droidex and Droid Tycoon Tools. Droidex identifies its detailed guide as reviewed for v1.33.0 on October 3, 2026, while Droid Tycoon Tools says its data refreshes from a community spreadsheet.
