Before paying for a folding design, identify the situations in which you expect to open it. If you mainly use your phone closed and do not have a particular use for the larger inner screen, the foldable format may not justify its trade-offs for you. If that screen would materially improve the way you use your phone, it may be worth evaluating in person.

Apple lists the iPhone Duo at 254 g folded. Think about that figure alongside the folded dimensions in Apple’s specifications and how you hold, carry, or use a phone one-handed. A display that works well when unfolded does not make the folded phone comfortable for everyone.

Carrier and eSIM support
Apple says the iPhone Duo uses eSIM and is not compatible with physical SIM cards. Confirm with your carrier that it supports eSIM for this device and that your plan can be activated the way you need before buying. A physical SIM cannot serve as a fallback in this phone.

For its stated fast-charge method, Apple says the phone can reach up to 50% in around 20 minutes with a 60W-capable adapter or higher and a USB-C charging cable. Apple says the adapter and cable are sold separately. This is Apple’s claim under its specified setup, not an independent battery or charging test; check what charging equipment you already own and include any needed purchase in your budget.

TechRadar discussed a price of roughly $2,000 in a 2026 article, but that secondary figure is not a substitute for current pricing in your country or region. Check Apple or an authorized seller for the price, availability, and terms where you intend to buy.

Warranty coverage, repair access, and any service plan can change the practical cost of living with a new foldable. Review the terms that apply in your location rather than assuming coverage or repair options will match those of another iPhone model.
