Xbox’s published cloud-play allowances are monthly, not daily. The current US Xbox Cloud Gaming page lists 5 hours per month for Game Pass Essential, 10 for Premium, and 15 for Ultimate. Those are US figures, not universal terms; check Xbox’s page and your account terms for your region.
How many cloud gaming hours does each US plan include?
Xbox’s current US Cloud Gaming page lists these monthly allowances:

| US Game Pass plan | Cloud playtime shown |
|---|---|
| Essential | 5 hours per month |
| Premium | 10 hours per month |
| Ultimate | 15 hours per month |
These figures come from Xbox’s US Cloud Gaming page. Xbox says hours, purchase options, and cloud features can vary by market, so the table should not be treated as a worldwide plan comparison.

In its September 3, 2026 announcement, Xbox said eligible subscribers could stream without monthly hour limits at that time, and that the new monthly limits would begin in November 2026. The current US page displays the plan allowances above. The announcement and page therefore describe different timing contexts; consult the Xbox page for your market and the terms attached to your account for what applies to you.

What happens when you use the included monthly hours?
Xbox announced that subscribers who use their included hours would be able to purchase additional cloud playtime through the Xbox Store. The cited announcement does not specify prices or complete market-by-market purchasing details; Xbox said those details would be shared before the changes took effect.

How to check the limit that applies to you
- Open Xbox Cloud Gaming and select the page for your region, if available.
- Check the listed cloud hours for your Game Pass plan.
- Review your account’s subscription terms and any available Xbox Store information about additional playtime, since terms and purchase options can vary by market.
What Xbox has not specified in the cited material
The official material cited here does not establish a daily usage reset time, whether unused monthly hours roll over, or exact terms for every region and account. It expresses the allowance in monthly hours and does not state a separate daily quota. A compatible controller is among Xbox’s readiness items for cloud gaming, but it does not increase playtime.
