No. Acura’s 2026 U.S. specifications list wireless Apple CarPlay on every ADX trim. Does the Acura ADX have both Apple CarPlay and Google Gemini?
They are not mutually exclusive. Apple CarPlay connects an iPhone to the vehicle’s display, while Google built-in is an in-car platform with Google services and apps. Gemini is an announced upgrade to Google Assistant for certain vehicles with Google built-in—not a replacement for CarPlay.

What has Acura announced about Gemini?
In an announcement dated July 30, 2026, Acura Canada said Google Gemini was being added to Acura vehicles equipped with Google built-in, including select ADX models. Acura described Gemini as an upgrade to Google Assistant that supports more conversational interaction and context across multiple exchanges. The announcement is Canadian; it does not establish a U.S. rollout date or specify exactly which ADX model years are included. See Acura Canada’s Gemini announcement.
That update concerns the assistant, not the vehicle’s Apple CarPlay compatibility. The available specifications continue to list CarPlay for the cited model years and markets.

What can the ADX’s Google Assistant do?
Acura’s 2025 U.S. press kit says Google Assistant can place calls or texts, set reminders, adjust cabin temperature, navigate to a destination, find nearby places, and control media through supported apps. Google built-in includes Google Maps and access to apps on Google Play. These are manufacturer-described capabilities, not a guarantee that every command will work identically in every situation.
Gemini’s announced conversational upgrade does not, by itself, establish that every existing assistant task works differently or better. Acura’s announcement describes the interaction as more conversational and able to use context across exchanges, but does not provide a controlled comparison with CarPlay.

Which system makes sense for your routine?
- Choose CarPlay when: you want to use your iPhone’s connected experience on the vehicle display. Wireless CarPlay is listed across U.S. 2026 ADX trims; Canadian 2026 specifications list wired and wireless CarPlay across trims.
- Consider Google built-in when: you want the vehicle’s listed Google Maps and Google Play access, or want to use the assistant functions Acura describes. Check the exact trim and market before assuming it is included.
- Do not treat Gemini availability as universal: Acura Canada’s announcement applies to select models with Google built-in and does not establish availability for U.S. ADX owners.
