OneStream Live’s available documentation does not confirm that a YouTube playlist continues or skips to the next video if one file fails. It documents sequential playlist playback and separate looping features, but not what happens after an individual playlist item errors. If uninterrupted playback matters, confirm the behavior with OneStream Live support or test that failure case before relying on it.
What OneStream Live documents—and what it doesn’t
OneStream Live says a prerecorded playlist queues multiple videos to play back-to-back as a single live broadcast. Its product overview describes videos playing in a specific sequence. Those statements establish sequential playback, not a guarantee that the service skips a failed file and continues.

- Looping one prerecorded video: One video can be repeated during a broadcast, with up to 60 loops in the web and mobile setup flow. This does not establish what happens when a file in a multi-video playlist fails. OneStream Live’s video-looping instructions.
- 24/7 Streaming (YouTube Only): OneStream Live describes this feature as looping videos infinitely. Its available documentation does not say whether an individual failed playlist file is skipped or recovered. OneStream Live’s feature overview.
These are distinct behaviors: repeating one video a set number of times, playing multiple videos in sequence, and infinitely looping videos in a YouTube-only 24/7 stream. The documentation does not connect any of them to automatic recovery from a failed playlist item.

How playlist streaming works and who can use it
The documented setup is to open Pre-recorded Stream, add videos from a device, OneStream Live storage, or cloud storage, select the videos and destinations, enter stream details, and schedule the broadcast. Playlist streaming is listed for Professional and Enterprise plans. The Free-plan page says Free users cannot create or stream playlists, so check OneStream Live’s current plan details before choosing a plan; features may change.

What to check if a prerecorded stream fails or stops early
OneStream Live’s troubleshooting guidance lists media, scheduling, connection, and destination issues among possible causes. These checks can help diagnose a failed stream, but the guidance does not say they enable automatic skipping of a failed playlist item.

- Confirm the upload and processing finished. An interrupted upload or incomplete processing can leave a file unusable.
- Check the media file. Try playing it locally to identify corruption. OneStream Live recommends MP4 with H.264 video and AAC audio, constant 30 or 60 fps, and 720p or 1080p.
- Review the schedule and destination. Check the scheduled time and confirm the destination is valid, authenticated, and connected. Errors at YouTube or another destination can also affect delivery.
- Try a fresh upload where appropriate. If the original file is incomplete or corrupt, re-uploading a known-good copy may resolve that file problem.
- Test before a scheduled broadcast. OneStream Live recommends testing an event to a test destination. To answer the playlist question specifically, ask support or arrange a controlled test in which one playlist item fails; a general test does not prove skip-on-failure behavior.

If the stream must stay live continuously
Do not treat undocumented playlist-failure handling as a guarantee. Ask OneStream Live support whether a failed item is skipped, whether playback stops, and what recovery steps are available for your plan and setup. If you cannot verify the behavior before going live, use a test broadcast or another workflow whose failure handling you have confirmed.
