To run a Streamlabs Cloudbot giveaway, create a saved giveaway profile, configure the prize and entry rules, start it when you are live, then close entries and pick a winner. Choose Custom for a prize you describe yourself, or Merch for an item already available in your Streamlabs merch store.
Choose a giveaway type

For a merch giveaway, make sure the store and the item you intend to offer are ready before creating the profile. Streamlabs’ official guide explains the giveaway setup and winner process.

Create and configure a giveaway profile
- Open Cloudbot settings and select the Giveaways tab.
- Select Add Giveaway Profile.
- Choose Custom or Merch. For a custom prize, enter a unique profile name and a clear description of what the winner receives. For merch, select the intended store item.
- Choose whether to enable a timer and, if enabled, set the duration. The timer can close entries automatically.
- Set the entry permissions, ticket cost, maximum tickets per viewer, and any subscriber or non-subscriber bonus tickets.
- Set follower eligibility separately if desired. Streamlabs describes this control as preventing non-followers from winning while still allowing them to enter; it does not itself block their entries.
- Confirm and save the profile. You can reuse a saved profile; saving it does not start a live giveaway.
Understand the entry controls
- Permissions determine who may enter.
- Follower eligibility controls whether a non-follower may win, independently of whether they may enter.
- Ticket cost uses Cloudbot loyalty points.
- Maximum and bonus tickets let you limit each viewer’s tickets and configure subscriber and non-subscriber bonuses.
Customize giveaway messages
In the Giveaways settings, you can customize the default command, entry response, other giveaway messages, and a repeat reminder. Make the entry instructions and prize description clear to viewers before starting.

Start, close, and draw the giveaway
- When ready to accept entries, find the saved profile and select Start Giveaway.
- Monitor entrants and their ticket counts while the giveaway is open.
- Close the giveaway yourself when the entry period ends, or let its configured timer close it.
- After entries are closed, select Pick a Winner.
- Watch for the selected winner’s messages. If the winner cannot claim the prize or does not respond, use the reroll option when appropriate.
- For a merch prize, follow the redemption flow: the selected winner receives a unique URL to submit applicable size, color, and shipping details. Complete the merch giveaway after the winner confirms the claim.
Before announcing a prize
Cloudbot’s configuration documents how to operate the giveaway feature; it does not establish that a promotion complies with laws where you or your viewers live, or with the rules of the streaming platform. Check the applicable requirements separately before launching, and explain the prize, eligibility, entry period, and claim process plainly.
