What “vertical Shorts live” means
A loop is prerecorded video played repeatedly or in sequence as a livestream. A vertical live stream is a portrait-format YouTube broadcast, typically 9:16. The Shorts live feed is YouTube’s mobile discovery experience where viewers can browse vertical live streams; it is not simply another name for looping a video.

YouTube says viewers can find vertical live streams while browsing Shorts, and mobile viewers can enter a full-screen vertical live experience. That describes YouTube’s vertical-live experience, not a guarantee that every portrait stream—or a particular third-party service’s output—will be surfaced there. YouTube’s live-streaming guidance covers vertical live and setup options.
What Livepush documents—and what remains unverified
Documented: prerecorded playlists and continuous looping
Livepush’s help documentation describes playlists as queued videos played back to back as one continuous livestream. It says this can be used for 24/7 channels and that playlists are included with plans offering a 24/7 schedule channel. Its product page also describes uploading recorded videos, scheduling them to YouTube, playlist playback and continuous looping in the cloud. The product page’s claim that loops can run indefinitely is subject to plan stream-duration limits and is a vendor claim, not an independent guarantee.

Not confirmed: 9:16 output from a Livepush loop
The documentation reviewed does not connect Livepush’s playlist feature to YouTube’s vertical stream setup. It therefore does not establish that a prerecorded playlist can be emitted in 9:16, routed using YouTube’s vertical stream key, or recognized by YouTube as eligible for the Shorts live browsing surface. This is an evidence gap, not proof that Livepush cannot do it.

How YouTube’s vertical setup differs
YouTube documents a native dual-format setup that can deliver horizontal 16:9 and vertical 9:16 streams at the same time from Live Control Room. For a third-party encoder workflow, YouTube describes using RTMP(S) and selecting a second stream key for the vertical stream. Its guidance also says vertical format cannot be added after the stream has started, so the format must be configured before going live.

What to verify with Livepush before relying on it
- Ask whether a prerecorded playlist or loop can be output at 9:16, rather than only as a landscape stream.
- Ask whether the workflow can use YouTube’s vertical stream key or otherwise configure YouTube’s documented vertical route.
- Ask whether it can send horizontal and vertical formats simultaneously, if you need both, and whether that applies to prerecorded loops specifically.
- Ask whether YouTube’s Shorts live feed recognizes that exact output. A portrait-shaped video alone does not establish feed placement.
- Confirm the current plan, duration limits, schedule-channel availability and checkout price for your account before paying.
Test with a short scheduled or private workflow where possible, and check the resulting stream on a mobile device before building a long-running channel around it. Do not assume that a successful YouTube connection proves vertical routing or Shorts-feed discovery.
Livepush plan and price context
Livepush’s plan page lists the Creators plan as including a 24/7 schedule channel and video looping. When accessed on October 3, 2026, the page listed it at $39 per month or $32.50 per month billed annually at $390.
