No platform in the available reporting is verified to have 10 million monthly users. Several AI-game platforms have reported large audiences, but the figures refer to different things: registered accounts, cumulative players, daily active players, creators, or games made. The headline does not name a platform, so its specific claim cannot be confirmed from those reports.
What the reported numbers actually measure
These figures describe three separate platforms or products. They should not be combined or relabeled as monthly active users.

| Platform or product | Reported figure | What it means |
|---|---|---|
| Game Buddy and Hakko AI | More than 10 million registered users globally | A July 26, 2026 digest attributes this count to Game Buddy and its overseas version, Hakko AI. It does not report 10 million monthly users for either product or for Luddi. AITNT |
| TapTap Maker | More than 10 million cumulative players; 160,000 average daily active players; more than 3,000 creators | Official data cited by GameTeahouse describes TapTap Maker games in the first half of 2026. Cumulative players are not monthly active users. GameTeahouse |
| The9bit | More than 8 million registered users and over 110,000 games produced | The9bit COO Nora Lam reportedly gave these figures on The9’s Q2 2026 earnings call; the games were produced since the platform’s August 2025 launch. Registered users are not monthly active users. MarketBeat |
Monthly active users (MAU) ordinarily means distinct users who used a service during a specified month. A registered-user total counts accounts, which may include people who have stopped using the service. Cumulative players can count people across a period or across games without showing how many returned in a particular month. Daily active users measure activity on an average day, not across a month. The reports above do not supply a dated, defined MAU figure for the unnamed platform in the headline.
Why the platform identity matters
Game Buddy and Hakko AI are associated with a reported 10 million registered-user total. The July 2026 digest separately says the team later launched Luddi for AI-generated games, along with Cuddler for roleplay-to-film content. That distinction matters: the account total is attributed to Game Buddy and Hakko AI, not to Luddi, and the digest does not describe the figure as monthly activity.

TapTap Maker and The9bit have different reported metrics and product models. Neither report verifies 10 million monthly users. Without knowing which platform the headline means—and seeing a source that defines the metric and reporting date—the 10-million-MAU claim remains unverified.
How these platforms make and distribute games
TapTap Maker: creation tied to TapTap
GameTeahouse describes TapTap Maker as an AI game-creation platform developed by Xindong and integrated with the TapTap ecosystem. Its workflow lets users create games through natural-language prompts and submit them to TapTap. The feature reports nearly 5,000 games made in the first half of 2026, alongside the audience and creator figures in the table.
Rank #2
The report says TapTap Maker integrated in-game advertising for mini-games at its official launch and that the platform took no share of that advertising revenue at the time of the article. That is a report about a particular model and point in time, not a guarantee of current terms or of creator income.
The9bit: prompt-based development and user-generated content
MarketBeat’s August 24, 2026 recap describes The9bit as an AI game-development and user-generated-content platform. Users can start with a prompt and refine gameplay parameters, visual assets, and game styles in natural language, without traditional coding expertise.
Rank #3
At the time of the earnings call, most games on the platform were casual and advertising-supported. Expansion into mid-core games and in-game purchases was described as a plan, not a completed rollout. The company reportedly focused first on Southeast Asia, while describing the United States and Europe as longer-term opportunities with greater competition and potentially higher user-acquisition costs.

A large registration or cumulative-player figure alone does not show how many people return each month, how long they play, whether they find high-quality games, or whether the business can earn sustainable revenue. The cited reports do not establish those outcomes for the unnamed platform.
Rank #4
TapTap Maker coverage includes individual creator examples, such as a mini-game reported to have earned 10,000 yuan in a day. Those anecdotes are not typical earnings data. The same reporting describes category-wide obstacles: uneven game quality, discovery challenges, costs for high-quality tools, and difficulty making independent development sustainable. It also notes that advertising may fit simple, fast-paced mini-games better than role-playing games, where interruptions can be more disruptive.
For a meaningful comparison, look for a platform’s dated MAU definition and its retention or engagement data, then assess those separately from creation features, publishing reach, monetization terms, and creator outcomes. A user count is only one part of that picture.
