Those mechanics make the fast-moving shooter a compelling VR prospect, but wall-running, grappling and other rapid movement can be uncomfortable—and the available documentation does not establish a tested headset list or minimum PC specification.
What does the Titanfall 2 VR mod add?
CircuitLord’s project brings stereo rendering and VR interactions to the Titanfall 2 campaign. Its project repository lists full-body inverse kinematics, manual reloads and Titan controls; Road to VR’s October 2, 2026 report describes head tracking, weapon aiming, mech weapon controls and manual reloading across the game’s weapon roster.

The appeal is the combination of familiar shooter action with physical aiming and reloading, plus the shift between pilot combat and Titan encounters. Road to VR reporter Scott Hayden wrote: “The amount of motion in the game goes above and beyond even a regular flatscreen shooter.” That intensity is also the main comfort trade-off.

That is an evaluative claim, not an established ranking. The documented features make the campaign an unusually ambitious VR conversion: players can aim weapons with their hands, reload manually and use Titan controls while moving through the game’s action-heavy environments. But those same environments involve wall-running, double-jumping, sliding and grappling. The speed and direction changes may make the experience uncomfortable for some people, so it will not be a good fit for every VR player.

Snap turning is available, but it does not remove discomfort caused by rapid in-game movement. If you are unsure how you will respond, start with a short session and take a break if you feel unwell. That is a general comfort precaution, not a developer-tested protocol.
Is the mod free, and what do you need?
The mod is free, but it does not include Titanfall 2. You need the PC game installed, a PC VR setup and a VR runtime. The installer says it can locate Steam, EA or Xbox installations and checks that the EA app is available. It installs Northstar and the mod in a separate TF2VR profile. The repository describes the projects as community-made and unaffiliated with or endorsed by the game’s developers or publishers.

The available documentation does not establish a minimum PC specification, measured frame rate or officially tested headset list for CircuitLord’s conversion. General mention of a VR runtime is not proof that a particular headset or PC configuration has been tested. In particular, hardware details documented for a different Titanfall 2 VR project should not be taken as compatibility evidence for this one.
How do you install and launch it?
- Install Titanfall 2 for PC. The installer says it can find a Steam, EA or Xbox installation. The game must already be installed; it is not included with the mod.
- Make sure the EA app is available. The installer checks for it during setup.
- Run CircuitLord’s VR Mod Installer. Follow its prompts to install Northstar and the mod in the separate
TF2VRprofile. - Start your VR runtime. Use the runtime appropriate to your PC VR setup; the documentation cited here does not confirm specific headset models.
- Select Launch in VR in the installer. According to the installer repository, ordinary Titanfall 2 launches remain unmodded.
The installer repository also documents separate VR save and settings storage at %LOCALAPPDATA%RespawnTitanfall2_VR. The VR profile’s saves and settings are therefore stored apart from the standard game’s.

Is it safe to install?
The installer source is MIT-licensed and readable, while the mod itself is closed source and all rights reserved, according to the project repository. A VR.org report published October 4, 2026 says the installer checks downloaded files against SHA-256 hashes and records files it writes so its uninstall process can remove those recorded files. These are descriptions of repository behavior, not an independent security audit; use the project’s official repository and review its current instructions before installing.
Is this the same as TinyBlkDog’s Titanfall 2 VR project?
No. Search results can surface two distinct community projects. CircuitLord’s is the full-conversion mod described above, installed through its own installer. TinyBlkDog’s separate project is a Northstar client plugin that its repository labels alpha. Its setup instructions and compatibility notes belong to that plugin and do not establish compatibility for CircuitLord’s mod.

Does the Titanfall 2 VR mod work with Quest, Vive or Index?
The sources cited here do not establish headset-specific compatibility for CircuitLord’s mod, including for Quest, Vive or Index. The installer refers generally to a VR runtime, but that alone is not enough to promise support for a particular headset or configuration. Check the current installer documentation before deciding whether your setup will work.

Does it support multiplayer?
No multiplayer support is established for CircuitLord’s mod. Road to VR describes it as supporting the single-player campaign only, so do not install it expecting a VR multiplayer mode.
