The company lists 20W output, a 3.95-inch 480 × 480 screen, physical keys and a joystick; despite the original headline’s wording, the available specifications do not establish that its keys are mechanical keyboard switches.
What Astrotoo is—and what the display does
Astrotoo is designed to function as both a desktop speaker and a display-based desk device, rather than as a conventional speaker alone. Divoom says its screen can show pixel art, clock faces, music visuals and personalized content, with customization handled through the Divoom App. The product page does not specify the full set of available layouts or how much content can be created or shared.

The display measures 3.95 inches diagonally and has a resolution of 480 × 480 pixels, according to Divoom and the Japanese launch announcement. The square screen gives the device a retro-display look, but it is not evidence that Astrotoo runs a general-purpose computer interface.

Ways to play audio
Divoom lists Bluetooth 6.0, Wi-Fi and microSD playback. The product page does not provide enough detail to establish which services or audio formats Wi-Fi supports, or the microSD card capacity and file-format limits. Check the current product documentation for those specifics if they affect your setup.
Battery life
Divoom states battery life of up to six hours. That is a manufacturer-listed maximum, not an independently verified runtime; the product page does not state the playback volume, display settings or other conditions behind the figure.

Size, weight and output
Divoom specifies 20W speaker output. The September 28, 2026 Japanese announcement lists approximate dimensions of 106 × 108 × 135 mm and a weight of about 640 g. These are announced specifications, not independent measurements. The available sources do not include listening tests or comparative results, so they cannot establish sound quality, loudness at a particular distance or how Astrotoo performs against another desktop speaker.

Prices reported for Astrotoo vary by market and source: Divoom’s product page displayed US$199.99 when retrieved on October 12, 2026, while Real Sound Tech reported a Japanese launch price of ¥24,310 including tax on September 30, 2026. These figures are not directly comparable and may change. The September 28, 2026 announcement planned a Japan release for late October 2026, with white, pink and green listed as planned colors. Confirm current local availability, pricing and color choices before buying.

What to check before choosing it
Astrotoo’s strongest distinction is its combination of a speaker, customizable pixel display and tactile controls. Whether that combination suits a particular desk depends on priorities the published specifications alone cannot settle.
