The Dimplex DC30DEHUM is a compressor dehumidifier rated by Dimplex to extract 30 litres of water per day at 30°C and 80% relative humidity. That is a stated test condition, not a promise of the same daily output in a cooler or drier room. Its 4-litre tank, specified 61–63 dB(A) noise and heat-producing compressor are important practical considerations alongside the capacity rating.
How much water can the DC30DEHUM remove?
Dimplex Australia rates the DC30DEHUM at 30L extraction at 30°C and 80% relative humidity. This is the manufacturer’s capacity figure for those conditions; it should not be read as expected everyday output regardless of room temperature and humidity. In a cooler or drier space, the conditions differ from the stated rating, and the available evidence does not establish a typical daily yield.

The unit is a refrigeration, or compressor, dehumidifier. Its listed operating temperature range is 5–35°C. Dimplex also specifies R290 refrigerant. These are manufacturer specifications, not independent measurements of extraction or energy performance. What to expect from the tank and controls
The DC30DEHUM has a 4L water tank, substantially less than its rated 30L-per-day extraction figure. The rating does not mean the tank holds a day’s worth of water: collection frequency depends on actual moisture removal and therefore on the room and operating conditions. The specifications do not establish a particular emptying interval.

Dimplex lists two fan speeds, three modes and a timer adjustable from 0 to 24 hours. Those are the documented controls; the available product specifications do not describe each mode in enough detail to recommend a specific setting for a given room.
Noise, size and room comfort
Dimplex specifies noise levels of 61 dB(A) on low and 63 dB(A) on high. These are manufacturer-listed figures, not independent acoustic test results. If the appliance will run near a bedroom, work area or living space, consider those stated levels when choosing where to place it.

The listed dimensions are 290 × 250 × 500mm, and net weight is 13.5kg. Castors are listed, which may help with moving the unit across a suitable floor, though its weight remains relevant when lifting or carrying it.
A compressor dehumidifier can warm the space it is treating. Dimplex’s manual says: “When the dehumidifier is in operation, the running compressor will produce heat, this is normal and may potentially raise the room temperature.” The DC30DEHUM is therefore not a cooling appliance.

DC30DEHUM versus the Dimplex DC20DEHUM
Dimplex’s combined instruction manual lists the DC20DEHUM at 20L and the DC30DEHUM at 30L, both at 30°C and 80% relative humidity. Capacity under that shared condition is the supported basis for comparison; the available documentation does not establish that one is quieter, more efficient, better value or better in independent testing. Dimplex Australia lists a two-year domestic warranty. Check the current product documentation and warranty terms for the conditions that apply to your purchase.
Before choosing this model, weigh its rated capacity against the conditions in your space, the need to manage a 4L tank, the specified operating range, noise and potential room warming. The cited specifications do not establish its energy consumption, running cost or real-world extraction rate, so those should not be inferred from the 30L rating.
