The Dimensity 7200 Pro and Dimensity 7400X use different CPU layouts, and published benchmark results do not produce a consistent winner. MediaTek’s base Dimensity 7200 specification lists two Cortex-A715 performance cores and six Cortex-A510 cores; the 7400X uses four Cortex-A78 cores and four Cortex-A55 cores. In 91Mobiles’ comparison, the 7200 Pro handset scores higher in AnTuTu, while the 7400X handset posts higher Geekbench results. Those figures are tests of particular phones, not a guarantee that every phone with either chip will perform the same.
How the processors differ
MediaTek’s official [Dimensity 7200 specifications] describe the base 7200, not every device-maker customization that may be associated with the “7200 Pro” label. Its CPU combines two Arm Cortex-A715 cores running at up to 2.8 GHz with six Cortex-A510 cores. The 7400X instead pairs four Cortex-A78 cores running at up to 2.6 GHz with four Cortex-A55 cores, according to [MediaTek’s Dimensity 7400X specifications]. Core counts and clock speeds alone do not establish which chip is faster in a particular phone.

| Specification | Dimensity 7200 (MediaTek base reference) | Dimensity 7400X |
|---|---|---|
| CPU | 2× Cortex-A715 up to 2.8 GHz + 6× Cortex-A510 | 4× Cortex-A78 up to 2.6 GHz + 4× Cortex-A55 |
| GPU | Arm Mali-G610 MC4 | Arm Mali-G615 MC2 |
| Process | TSMC N4, 4 nm-class | 4 nm-class |
| Memory support | LPDDR4x or LPDDR5 | LPDDR4x or LPDDR5 |
| Display-related platform features | Up to 144 Hz maximum display specification on the base 7200 page | Exclusive dual-display support for flip phones; WFHD+ up to 120 Hz on MediaTek’s product page |
The 7400X’s dual-display support is a platform feature intended for flip phones; it is not a general speed advantage. Likewise, the base 7200’s stated 144 Hz maximum is a supported display specification, not evidence that a phone using it will always run a screen or game at that refresh rate.

What the benchmark results show
91Mobiles’ comparison reports the following results for the phones it tested. The comparison page does not establish a controlled, same-device test of the two chips, so treat these values as handset-specific results rather than fixed processor scores.

| Test reported by 91Mobiles | Dimensity 7200 Pro | Dimensity 7400X |
|---|---|---|
| AnTuTu total | 707,480 | 676,447 |
| Geekbench single-core | 1,068 | 1,098 |
| Geekbench multi-core | 2,454 | 3,043 |
In 91Mobiles’ AnTuTu results, the 7200 Pro handset leads overall and in the CPU, GPU and memory subtotals, while the 7400X handset has a slightly higher UX subtotal. The Geekbench figures on that same comparison page point the other way: the 7400X handset is higher in both single-core and multi-core results. 91Mobiles identifies these as its tests; the comparison does not provide a basis for treating them as universal results or inferring an across-the-board gaming advantage.
Geekbench’s [Android benchmark chart] also lists user-submitted Nothing Phone (2a) results with the Dimensity 7200 Pro. Geekbench says the chart uses user-submitted results, which can change as entries are added. It is not a controlled comparison between that phone and a 7400X handset, so chart entries should not be directly compared without matched test conditions.

Which phones are associated with each chip?
91Mobiles associates the Dimensity 7200 Pro with the Nothing Phone (2a) and the Dimensity 7400X with the Motorola Razr 60. These are useful examples for a device-level comparison, not a complete list of phones or a guarantee of availability in every country. Confirm the exact regional model and chipset configuration before buying.

There is no reliable universal winner in the cited evidence. The 7200 Pro’s higher AnTuTu total does not cancel out the 7400X’s higher Geekbench scores, and the different phone implementations prevent the figures from isolating chipset performance alone. For a purchase decision, compare the actual models you can buy in your region and prioritize evidence for the workload you care about.

- For gaming: Look for sustained frame rates and thermal behavior in reviews of the exact phone and game. A GPU name or one benchmark score cannot establish long-session performance.
- For everyday responsiveness: Compare application and system performance on the actual handsets, rather than assuming a CPU layout or isolated Geekbench result predicts every task.
- For battery life: Seek phone-level tests under comparable use. The chipset specifications and benchmark totals here do not establish which handset lasts longer.
- For a flip phone: The 7400X’s official dual-display support is relevant to its form factor, but assess the Razr 60’s overall design and features rather than treating that support as a performance score.
- For overall value: Include display, camera implementation, software support, price and regional configuration in the comparison; these vary by phone and are not settled by the cited chip benchmarks.
