No official Apple announcement in the reporting reviewed confirms a product called HomeView, a $299 price, a seven-inch screen, “HomeView software,” or a November 13 shipping date. Macworld reports that Apple confirmed a “Welcome home” event for October 13, 2026, but describes the smart-home display as a rumor, not a confirmed product. Treat the device details below as expectations reported by publications—not Apple specifications or purchase guidance.
Did Apple announce HomeView?
Not under that name, according to the available coverage. Macworld says Apple confirmed a “Welcome home” event for October 13, 2026, while describing a smart-home display as expected and noting that the names used in reports are not official Apple product names. The event and the rumored display are separate claims: confirmation of an event does not confirm that Apple announced this device. Macworld’s October 13 report is the source for the event and the distinction.

Stuff also treats “HomeView” as a rumored name, not an official Apple name. Stuff’s October 2026 coverage discusses expectations for the device rather than a confirmed product announcement.

Apple has not confirmed a price in the reports reviewed. Stuff’s $299 figure is the publication’s expectation, not an Apple price. Macworld also discusses that amount as a reported expectation, not a confirmed price. Macworld’s report and Stuff’s report therefore do not establish what the display would cost, whether it would be sold in a particular region, or when it might become available to buy.

When does Apple HomeView ship?
The reporting does not confirm a November 13 shipping date. Stuff describes November as expected timing; iPhoneSoft’s October 11, 2026 article likewise presents the device as reported and expected, not as a product with an official launch date. Neither establishes November 13 specifically. Stuff and iPhoneSoft are the sources for those expectations.
How big is the Apple HomeView screen?
A seven-inch display is not confirmed. Macworld describes a rumored screen of about six inches, alongside a possible A18 processor and tabletop and wall-mounted forms. These are reported expectations rather than an official specification sheet. Macworld’s report is the source for those details.

What hardware and designs are being reported?
- Processor: An A18 chip appears in reporting, but Apple has not confirmed it. Macworld and iPhoneSoft describe it as a possibility.
- Placement: Reports describe potential tabletop and wall-mounted versions. The coverage does not establish final designs or explain what hardware, mounting equipment, or installation each version would include. Macworld and iPhoneSoft.
- Software name: “HomeView software” is not confirmed as an Apple name. Macworld uses other reported or placeholder names for the software concept. Macworld’s report.
Because the versions and specifications remain unconfirmed, there is no reliable basis yet to compare their included hardware, installation needs, or adjustability.

The reports describe a smart-home control purpose, but do not confirm compatibility with particular accessories or smart-home standards. Do not assume that a device you own will work with it based on this coverage. Compatibility needs to be checked against Apple’s official product information once available; Macworld and iPhoneSoft do not establish a supported-device list.

What to verify before treating it as a real product
For now, the reports support only a distinction between an announced event and a rumored display. Before relying on a price, date, or specification, look for Apple’s own announcement or product page confirming the product name, screen size, processor, software branding, versions, price, regional availability, shipping date, and accessory compatibility. The current coverage does not establish those details as official.
