Despotism 3k is a single-player strategy and simulation game developed and published by Konfa Games, released on Steam on November 8, 2018. Runs revolve around using humans to generate power while managing food, exhaustion, and population; random end-of-day events can change conditions, and failure sends you back to the start. Steam lists 30 achievements. Its promotional description jokes, “Humanity is enslaved by an AI… which is awesome, because we’re on the right side of the conflict.”

The game’s core challenge is balancing labor and survival: staffing decisions affect power and food production, while population and exhaustion shape how much work you can sustain. End-of-day events add uncertainty, so a setup that works in one run may not carry over cleanly to the next.

Steam Community guide author Mouflon_TA describes two campaigns and an Endless mode, with random events at each day’s end. The guide presents chips as ways to alter starting conditions or difficulty. There is no universally best chip in the guide: choose based on the run you want or the achievement you are pursuing. Endless mode is relevant to some modifier-collection achievements.

- A TEAM SPORT, NOT A TOSS GAME. Two teams play at the same time. One side attacks the pole, the other defends and intercepts. First to eleven, win by two.
- OFFENSE AND DEFENSE, LIVE. Passing, interceptions, turnovers, rebounds and penalty shots. Possession changes constantly, so the game moves instead of taking turns.
- BUILT FOR FOUR TO TEN. Flexible team sizes from two-a-side to five-a-side. Best with six or more.

How long does 100% completion take?
Mouflon_TA’s guide reports 30 in-game achievements and estimates 40–50 hours for 100% completion, attributing the time largely to randomness. This is the guide author’s estimate, not an official statistic or a measured average. The guide author also describes completion as potentially frustrating because of RNG and Hardcore mode; that is a personal assessment, not a difficulty rating.
