The team says it needs more development time for a more polished and stable experience; it has not identified a specific bug or unfinished feature.
Why was the Crimson Desert DLC delayed?
In a September 30, 2026 announcement, Pearl Abyss said the additional time would let the team refine the content and improve polish and stability. The statement, attributed to “The Crimson Desert Team,” reads: “However, we have determined that we need additional development time to deliver a more polished and stable gameplay experience.” Pearl Abyss’s release-date update does not name a particular defect, feature, or internal production problem as the reason.

Two weeks is a modest wait for players, but a reasonable one if it helps the team deliver the experience it intends. So: take your time, devs—and please drink some water.
