You can personalize a Galaxy phone with Theme Park, which builds a theme from an image and its colors. If you want to create themes for other people and distribute them through Galaxy Store, that is a separate professional route: Samsung requires designers to apply and be selected before using Galaxy Themes Studio.
Choose the right way to create a Samsung theme
For your own phone, look for Theme Park through Galaxy Store or Good Lock. It lets you make a theme from an image and adjust its colors and style. For commercial creation and distribution, Samsung’s Galaxy Themes Studio is for designers selected through Samsung’s application process.

Make a theme for your own Galaxy phone with Theme Park
Use these steps as a general guide. Theme Park’s controls and labels can change between versions, so follow the options shown in the app installed on your phone.
- Check whether Theme Park is available. On the Galaxy phone you want to personalize, look in Galaxy Store or Good Lock for Theme Park. Good Lock is not available in every country: Samsung says, “Good Lock is available in selected countries only.” See the Good Lock Plugin FAQ. If the app does not appear, availability may depend on your location or device support.
- Choose an image on your phone. Open Theme Park and start creating a theme from an image. The app can use the image’s dominant colors to generate a coordinated theme. See the Galaxy Store listing.
- Review the generated colors and options. Adjust the colors and style using the controls available in your version. If Theme Park offers per-app options, configure the supported apps you care about; which apps and features work can vary by version.
- Preview, apply, and inspect the actual screens. Check how the theme looks after applying it, rather than relying only on the preview. Samsung cautions that the preview may not match the applied appearance exactly.
- If controls or the app are missing, check compatibility. Look at your phone model, Android and One UI version, installed Theme Park version, and regional availability. Theme features can also vary by carrier. Samsung’s feature-availability notice describes these kinds of variation; do not assume every Galaxy phone has identical controls.
Apply to create and distribute themes professionally
Galaxy Themes Studio is not a public authoring download for every Galaxy owner. Samsung’s professional route begins with an application and concept review; selected designers receive access to Studio. The tool supports GUI themes, wallpapers, icons, and always-on display (AOD) content. Studio-created content is for Galaxy smartphones and is distributed through Galaxy Store. Prepare the portfolio Samsung asks for
Samsung developer evangelist Tony Morelan’s portfolio guide calls for three theme mockups. Each mockup must include six interface screens: Lock, Home, Messages, Dialer, Contacts, and Settings. The guide also asks for redesigned app icons and original artwork. Samsung’s overview describes a submission starter kit with a Photoshop template, but Photoshop is not established as mandatory.

Samsung’s general English overview describes a July 1–31, 2023 application window. A separate Korean-language notice lists recruitment on April 15–19, 2024 for qualifying Korea-based business sellers, with qualifications ending August 31, 2025. Both notices are historical, not evidence of an open application today. Why your theme may look different across Galaxy phones
- App support varies: Theme Park’s listing warns that supported applications and features can differ by version.
- A preview is not a guarantee: Samsung says the preview may not exactly match the final applied screen.
- Device and regional differences matter: Theme features may vary with country, Android or One UI version, model, and carrier. Verify availability on the particular phone you plan to use.
