CoreWeave’s August 4, 2026 announcement instead called its planned Indonesia facilities its first data-center presence in Asia-Pacific. AdaniConneX’s announced Visakhapatnam AI hub is a separate project with Google.
What did CoreWeave announce?
On August 4, 2026, CoreWeave announced an expansion into Indonesia, describing it as its “first data center presence in the Asia-Pacific region.” The company said the planned buildout would comprise three facilities with 360 MW of contracted IT power, expected to come online in 2028. Those are planned facilities, not operating data centers. CoreWeave’s announcement does not establish an India project with AdaniConneX.

Adani’s wider investment plan is not evidence of a CoreWeave deal
On February 17, 2026, Adani Enterprises announced a plan for USD 100 billion in direct investment by 2035 in renewable-powered, AI-ready data centers. The announcement frames this as an Adani Group plan built on AdaniConneX’s platform; it does not mention CoreWeave. Read the investment announcement.

The official announcements reviewed support keeping these developments separate: CoreWeave announced planned facilities in Indonesia, while AdaniConneX and Google announced an AI hub in Visakhapatnam. The reviewed sources do not substantiate the claim that CoreWeave has a deal with AdaniConneX for its first India data centers. That is not proof that a private arrangement cannot exist or that no future announcement will be made; it means the alleged deal is unverified on the public evidence reviewed as of October 7, 2026.
