Control Resonant has 67 collectible locations across eight types, according to two guides published in 2026. The guides say none are missable: you can return in free roam after the story, when your traversal abilities make the cleanup route more practical. This guide explains what counts, how progression affects the sweep, and where to find region-by-region directions.
How many collectibles are there in Control Resonant?
PowerPyx’s September 28, 2026 guide lists 67 locations in eight categories; a second guide published October 6 reports the same counts. These are guide-reported totals, not an independently tested count. PowerPyx’s collectible guide provides the category breakdown.

Are any collectibles missable?
Both guides say collectibles remain available in free roam after the story, so you do not need to complete every category during your first pass through an area. PowerPyx recommends returning once you have the traversal abilities needed to reach gated spots; the October guide likewise favors a post-credits sweep with the full traversal kit. These are recommendations from third-party guides, not an official Remedy checklist or independently verified playtest. See the October 2026 guide for its stated launch-week context.

When should you collect everything?
Pick up accessible items while progressing if they are convenient, but leave difficult or blocked locations for cleanup. The guides’ preferred approach is a post-story sweep: it reduces backtracking when abilities unlock later routes. If you want to pursue trophies or achievements, distinguish collecting a category from completing its related tasks. For example, the cited guide says Diligent Consultant requires 20 completed FBC Tasks, not all 42, while finding the seven Taskboards is a separate collectible count.
Progression gates to keep in mind
PowerPyx associates these abilities or milestones with relevant access: Shift (wall traversal) follows Jesse Sightings: The Incursion Fault; Reach (grappling points) follows Jesse Sightings: The Subway Fault; Ground Slam, which breaks Ability Barriers, follows defeating the West Incursion Zone Resonant; and Ignite/Inferno, used to burn webs, follows defeating the Central Zone Resonant. The guide says to complete Pope’s Research to fully explore The Unknown. These unlock details are reported by PowerPyx and should not be treated as official Remedy documentation.

Search by region rather than doing one full-map pass for each collectible type. PowerPyx says fast travel requires interacting with a Fast Travel Door; you cannot teleport directly from anywhere. Grouping nearby categories into a regional sweep can therefore reduce repeat trips between areas.
- Finish the story and unlock the traversal abilities relevant to blocked routes.
- Use a Fast Travel Door to reach a region, then check its item-level guide for directions.
- Track categories as you go. The October guide says the Case Files tracker shows completion percentage by district rather than an item-by-item list, so keep your own count if you need to verify every location.
- Complete Pope’s Research before sweeping The Unknown, following the October guide’s route advice.
Suggested region order and route guides
The two guides recommend this order: Downtown, Central, West Incursion Zone, Evacuation Zone, The Park, Underpass, then The Unknown. PowerPyx’s Control Resonant guide hub links to regional walkthroughs with item-level directions; the overview information available here does not establish exact coordinates or puzzle solutions.
There is an unresolved count discrepancy in PowerPyx’s overview: its regional snippets list 9 locations in Downtown, 9 in Central, 8 in West Incursion Zone, 9 in Evacuation Zone, 8 in The Park, 6 in Underpass, and 9 in The Unknown. Those figures add up to 58, not the category total of 67. Treat the regional snippets as navigation, not as a complete partition of all collectibles; consult the linked regional pages for individual routes.

What to know for trophy and achievement cleanup
- FBC Taskboards: finding all seven boards is distinct from doing tasks; the guide says any 20 of 42 completed FBC Tasks satisfy Diligent Consultant.
- Testing Facilities and Taxis: both categories contribute to Threshold Researcher; neither category alone is described as the full requirement.
- Case Files tracking: according to the October guide, the tracker shows district percentages rather than a line-by-line collectible checklist, so a personal tally may help.
- Updates: the October guide reports checking counts and rules against player guides for retail patch 1.4.1, last updated October 6, 2026. That is not official patch documentation, so later game updates may affect details.
