What platforms is Control Resonant on?
Remedy currently lists the game as available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, PC through Steam and the Epic Games Store, and GeForce NOW. Mac via Steam and the App Store is listed as coming later in 2026, rather than available at launch. The Mac timing is a later-in-2026 window, not a specific date. Xbox players also have Xbox Play Anywhere support: Xbox Wire says the game can be played across Xbox console, PC, and supported gaming handhelds, with saves, add-ons, and achievements carried across those devices. Are physical copies available?
Remedy’s June announcement said both digital and physical editions were available for preorder. That announcement does not establish present-day stock, regional availability, or what each edition contains. If you want a disc copy—such as a PS5 physical edition—confirm the format, region, and current stock on the retailer’s listing before ordering. What is Control Resonant about?
The first Control follows Jesse Faden into the Oldest House as she searches for her brother Dylan. Resonant shifts the viewpoint to Dylan after years of confinement: a supernatural crisis distorts Manhattan, and he sets out to find Jesse. Remedy describes Dylan as the sole playable character. Remedy presents the game as a third-person action RPG set across interconnected Manhattan zones, with exploration and character and weapon progression. Dylan’s Aberrant is a living weapon that can change shape for melee combat. These details mark a shift from the first game’s setting and viewpoint while keeping the supernatural Control mythology at the center.

No. Remedy describes Resonant as a new entry point, so prior play is not required to start Dylan’s story. The background helps explain why the siblings matter: Jesse searched for Dylan in the first game, and Resonant puts Dylan in the lead while Jesse shapes his path. As Co-Creative Director Mikael Kasurinen put it on PlayStation Blog: “His story drives Resonant, but as in the first game, the other sibling shapes the path.”
