The template page also identifies an editable “send copy to my-email” checkbox, but does not document exactly what that checkbox does. Will the form send messages on its own?
The researched page does not specify a message-submission endpoint, server-side processing, or spam controls. It therefore does not establish that the form will deliver messages when added to a live site. Before deployment, inspect the downloaded package and its setup instructions to determine whether it includes a working backend or needs to be connected to one.

Likewise, do not assume the “send copy to my-email” checkbox sends a copy until you have confirmed its behavior in the current files. A visual checkbox alone does not establish where a message goes or whether it is delivered.

Colorlib’s page lists the license as CC BY 3.0. Review the current license and any attribution requirements included with the download before adapting or publishing the template. The download form requests an email address and marketing consent; its accompanying text says occasional template updates will also be sent. What the reported 2026 update says
A search-result presentation for Colorlib’s page reports that the revised download is 80 KB, compared with 2.4 MB previously, and describes it as having no jQuery, Bootstrap files, or plugins. It also says the map is a keyless Google Maps embed and that validation uses plain JavaScript. These are claims in the search-result presentation, not details independently confirmed in the opened page body or by inspecting the download. Check the package itself before relying on them for a project.
Before adding it to a site
- Preview the design and confirm that its full-page map background suits your page.
- Read the current license and note any attribution requirements.
- Inspect the downloaded files and instructions for the form’s submission destination, server-side handling, and spam protection.
- Test the checkbox and form validation rather than assuming the displayed controls are connected to working behavior.
- Confirm what personal-data handling and consent steps your own site needs before collecting visitors’ messages.
Colorlib’s page promotes a website builder, but does not establish that Contact Form v8 is compatible with it. Treat this as an HTML/CSS template intended for integration into a web application, and verify compatibility with your chosen publishing setup before committing to it.
