Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitches2Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errors3Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minuteThe Southwest Rapid Rewards Premier Business Credit Card’s public Chase offer showed 80,000 points after $3,000 in purchases within the first three months of account opening, with a $149 annual fee, when checked on October 8, 2026. That is a substantial stated bonus, but it is time-sensitive and subject to eligibility rules. The card is most compelling for a business that flies Southwest and can meet the spending requirement through normal expenses; it is less attractive if the fee outweighs the travel benefits or if meeting the requirement would mean overspending.
What is the current welcome offer?
Chase’s U.S. public offer page displayed 80,000 Rapid Rewards points after at least $3,000 in purchases during the first three months after account opening. The $149 annual fee is applied to the first billing statement. Because card offers can change and may differ by application channel, confirm the exact bonus, spending window, fee, and other terms shown on the application page before applying. Chase’s offer page is the reference for the offer and its eligibility details.

Who can qualify
The offer excludes current cardmembers and previous cardmembers who received a new-cardmember bonus for this same business card within the past 24 months. The account must remain open and not be in default when the bonus is fulfilled. Chase’s full offer terms also exclude balance transfers, cash advances, cash-like transactions, fees, and specified other transactions from the qualifying purchase total. Review those terms rather than assuming every charge counts.

Chase displayed a variable APR of 19.49%–27.99% when the offer was checked on October 8, 2026. The rate is variable, and interest can outweigh rewards; this is not a card to use for financing a balance on the assumption that points will compensate for borrowing costs.

Is Premier worth its $149 annual fee?
There is no universal answer: the fee makes more sense for a business that regularly buys eligible Southwest travel and will use the travel benefits than for one that flies infrequently or would not use them. The 80,000-point welcome offer can be a reason to consider the card, but it is not a guaranteed cash value. The official sources state program terms rather than a fixed redemption value, and the value realized depends on redemption choices and the applicable rules. The Rapid Rewards program agreement sets out program rules.

When the spending requirement fits
Consider applying only if your business can put at least $3,000 of eligible purchases on the card within three months without buying things it does not need. If ordinary business spending will not reach the threshold, the bonus is not a sound reason to stretch cash flow or take on interest.
Compare the higher-fee Performance Business card
Southwest lists the Performance Business card at $299 annually—$150 more than Premier. It earns 4X on Southwest purchases rather than Premier’s 3X and adds Preferred seat selection at booking plus Extra Legroom seat upgrades within 48 hours of departure when available. Southwest lists both cards with a free first checked bag, anniversary points, and a 10,000-point annual Companion Pass qualifying boost.

- The gift that lets them fly to 85+ destinations.
- No fees. No expiration. Ever.
- No returns and no refunds on gift cards.
| Feature | Premier Business | Performance Business |
|---|---|---|
| Annual fee | $149 | $299 |
| Southwest purchase earning | 3 points per dollar | 4 points per dollar |
| Seat benefits listed by Southwest | Preferred or Standard seat selection within 48 hours of departure, when available | Preferred seat selection at booking; Extra Legroom seat upgrades within 48 hours of departure, when available |
| Free first checked bag | Listed | Listed |
| Annual Companion Pass qualifying boost | 10,000 points | 10,000 points |
The extra $150 is easier to justify if the higher Southwest earning rate and added seat access will be useful enough for your travel pattern. A frequent Southwest flyer who values those specific benefits may prefer Performance; a business seeking a lower annual fee may find Premier the more proportionate choice. Details are listed on Southwest’s business-card page.
