That makes them worth a look if you want budget earbuds with manufacturer-listed hybrid ANC and spatial audio, but Amazon prices and availability can change. Check the reported Amazon deal for the current price, seller, color options and delivery terms before buying.
Are the CMF Buds 2 worth $29?
At the reported $29 price, the CMF Buds 2 offer a notably broad feature list for a budget pair: Nothing lists hybrid active noise cancellation, an HRTF-based spatial audio effect, six microphones, dual connection and support for the Nothing X app. Those are manufacturer specifications, not independent measurements of sound or noise reduction.

The deal is most compelling if you value ANC and app features more than the longest possible battery runtime or protection for the charging case. Nothing rates the earbuds IP55, but the case is only IPX2. Battery life also drops when ANC or transparency mode is enabled.
What features does Nothing list?
Nothing’s product page lists an 11 mm custom dynamic driver, AAC and SBC codec support, Dirac Opteo tuning and Ultra Bass Technology. It also specifies Bluetooth 5.4, six microphones, Clear Voice Technology 3.0 and dual connection. The Nothing X app is supported, and the listed compatibility is Android 6.0 and above or iOS 13 and above.

How long does the battery last with ANC on?
Nothing’s battery figures are maximums from AAC playback tests at 50% volume in a 25°C controlled laboratory environment. Actual results vary with volume, interference, enabled features and usage habits, according to the manufacturer’s support page.

Nothing lists the earbuds as IP55 and the charging case as IPX2. The ratings apply to different parts of the set: do not assume the case has the same protection as the buds, or treat either rating as a promise of damage-proofing in every situation.

What to check before ordering
- Confirm the Amazon listing still shows $29; the price was reported on October 6, 2026, and may have changed.
- Check the seller, available colors and delivery terms on the listing before checkout.
- Choose based on your priorities: the manufacturer’s battery maximum with ANC on or transparency mode is lower than with ANC off.
- Remember that IP55 is for the earbuds, while the case is rated IPX2.
Tom’s Guide listed the CMF Buds 2 at $49 in its September 2026 roundup and described them as a customizable budget option. That dated roundup is not a like-for-like lab comparison, so it does not establish that these earbuds outperform alternatives. At $29, the practical case for buying them rests on the price and whether their feature mix fits your needs.
