Which agent was best at rebuilding the app?
For this particular run, the author’s answer was Codex on overall visual resemblance. That judgment was based on visual qualities such as spacing and typography, not a published score. It does not establish that Codex is consistently the best choice for screenshot-based interface work, or that it would win on a different app, prompt, or set of screenshots.
The results also show why visual similarity and implementation behavior should be assessed separately. Claude’s toggles were a reported interaction strength, while the added controls illustrate a fidelity risk: a plausible feature can still be wrong when the task is to reproduce only what the reference shows. Antigravity’s polish likewise did not guarantee the closest match to small visual details.

What this comparison does—and does not—prove
The account says none of the three recreations was perfect. It offers useful qualitative observations from one exercise, but no numerical visual-fidelity scores, blind ratings, repeated trials, independent evaluator, publicly inspectable screenshot set, source code, or timing data. “Almost pixel for pixel” should therefore be read as an impression, not a measured accuracy result.

How to make a more useful comparison yourself
If you are choosing an agent for a real screenshot-to-React task, use the same inputs and conditions for every run. Judge more than the first visual impression:
- Visual fidelity: compare layout, spacing, typography, colors, and icon shapes against the reference.
- Coverage: check whether all supplied screens and visible navigation states are represented.
- Interaction: test the controls that appear in the screenshots, rather than assuming they work because the page looks right.
- Invented content: note added labels or controls that are not supported by the images.
- Effort: record time and iteration count if speed matters to your project.
Keep the screenshot set, framework, prompt, and runtime conditions consistent, and repeat the comparison if you want to draw conclusions beyond a single run. The Foqos account discusses several relevant dimensions, but does not supply a standardized scoring method or timing results.
