No single Magento CRM integration is the best choice for every store. The official material reviewed for this guide supports several routes: a HubSpot app listed on the HubSpot Marketplace for Magento 2, Salesforce and HubSpot connectors named in Adobe’s integration documentation, a Dynamics 365 route published by Microsoft for Finance and Operations, and Adobe’s integration starter kit or custom API work. None of these is established as the right fit in general. The right choice depends on which CRM you run, which Magento edition and version you operate, which data must move, in which direction, how quickly, and who fixes things when a sync fails.
Start with the workflow, not the connector
A CRM integration is really a set of decisions about data. Before you compare products, write down which customer interactions sales, marketing, and service teams need to see from the store, and which system should own each field. An order total, a customer’s marketing consent, and a support case status may each belong in a different system. Only after that is clear does it make sense to ask how fast updates must arrive and who will monitor failures.

The routes the official sources establish
HubSpot’s Magento 2 data sync app
HubSpot’s Marketplace listing for its Adobe Commerce (Magento) app describes background syncing, historical sync, selectable one-way or two-way sync, and filters on Magento fields or HubSpot lists. HubSpot describes the app as sharing created or updated records between Magento 2 and HubSpot. The listing does not, on its own, establish that every object or field is included, so check the listing’s shared-data and setup details against your own account and Magento environment.
Salesforce CRM
Adobe names Salesforce CRM among its connector examples, and its REST API overview lists Salesforce as an example of a CRM back end that Commerce can integrate with. This confirms that the route exists in Adobe’s integration landscape. It does not confirm which Salesforce product, which object set, or which Magento version a particular connector supports, and it is not a guarantee of feature parity between listings.
#1 Best Overall
Dynamics 365
Microsoft Learn’s page on Dynamics 365 and Adobe integrations (last updated April 11, 2023) points to Magento integration options for Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations, including a third-party app. Finance and Operations is an ERP-oriented route. The page does not show a connector for Dynamics 365 Sales, so if your CRM is Dynamics 365 Sales, verify that connector separately rather than assuming coverage.
Adobe’s integration starter kit and custom API work
Adobe describes its integration starter kit as an accelerator that includes onboarding scripts, data mapping, validation, connection management, configuration and serverless customization, and dashboards for monitoring status. Adobe’s REST API documentation also supports building your own integration to a CRM back end. This route gives the most control over mapping and error handling, and it puts the most maintenance on your team.
How the routes compare
| Route | What the official sources establish | Route-specific checks before choosing |
|---|---|---|
| HubSpot Magento 2 data sync app | Background and historical syncing; one-way or two-way direction; filters on Magento fields or HubSpot lists (HubSpot Marketplace listing). | Supported Magento editions and versions; field mapping; conflict rules when both systems change a record; schedule and latency; plan requirements; current price and support terms. |
| Salesforce CRM connector, or custom API integration | Salesforce is named as a connector example by Adobe and as an example CRM back end in Adobe’s REST API overview. | Current connector vendor and listing; Salesforce product and edition; Magento version; objects, direction and latency; API limits; who maintains the integration. |
| Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations route | Microsoft’s page (April 11, 2023) points to Magento integration options for Finance and Operations, including a third-party app. | Whether your workflow is ERP or CRM; the current connector and its data model; supported Magento version; vendor terms. Dynamics 365 Sales coverage: not stated by this source. |
| Adobe integration starter kit or API-led custom work | Mapping, validation, connection management, monitoring dashboards, and scripts or templates for onboarding (Adobe, March 18, 2025, and Adobe Commerce documentation). | Development effort required; who operates and upgrades the code; API and event coverage; error recovery; data ownership; security review; total ongoing cost. |
Criteria to score each option against
- Direction and ownership: whether data flows one way or both ways, and which system wins when both change a record.
- Latency: how quickly an update in one system appears in the other, and whether the schedule suits sales and service needs.
- Filtering and transformation: the ability to limit what syncs, such as particular customer groups or lists, and to reshape values before they arrive.
- Historical backfill: whether existing customers and orders can be loaded, and how far back that load can reach.
- Authentication and access: how credentials are issued, what scope they carry, and who can revoke them.
- Error visibility and recovery: how failures are reported, who receives alerts, and how records are retried.
- Version compatibility: whether the connector supports your current Magento edition and your CRM’s current release.
- Implementation effort and ongoing maintenance: who builds, tests, upgrades, and supports the integration after launch.
Authentication and access in Adobe Commerce
Adobe’s Commerce Admin integration process establishes OAuth credentials and redirect URLs, and it identifies the API resources the integration can access. The documented authorization flow has the merchant authorize the integration, complete any third-party login, and receive a confirmation. Grant access only to the resources the integration needs, and review authentication, field ownership, and data handling with your security and technical teams before go-live.

Adobe’s operations page, dated March 18, 2025, says the integration starter kit can reduce development time and maintenance costs by up to 50%. Treat this as Adobe’s stated potential. The reviewed material does not give the baseline, the project types behind the figure, or any independent measurement, so it cannot be used as a forecast for your own build.
Benefits, stated with their limits
- Shared customer records: when a connector syncs the fields you need, sales and service teams can work from the same customer information instead of re-keying it. HubSpot describes this sharing for its app.
- Less manual duplication: automatic updates reduce copying between systems, but only for the objects and directions the connector actually covers.
- Adobe ecosystem links: Adobe describes connected customer data and integration services across its ecosystem, which can simplify future connections if you already use Adobe products.
The reviewed sources do not establish a sales lift, a measured reduction in errors, or a complete single customer view for any particular route. Those outcomes depend on your data quality and workflow design.

The available official material does not include an independent benchmark, a current total-cost comparison, a detailed object-by-object connector matrix, or independent reliability data. Pricing, supported editions, and feature lists change, so confirm them on the current vendor or Adobe Commerce page before you commit.
Quick Recap
Rank #4
A practical shortlist process
- Document the workflow, the system that owns each field, and the required sync direction and latency.
- Confirm your Magento edition and version, and your CRM product and plan, against each candidate’s current documentation.
- Score each candidate against the criteria above, with particular attention to conflict rules, historical backfill, and error recovery.
- Confirm who will monitor the integration after launch and who handles upgrades on either side.
- Get written answers from the vendor or your implementation partner on pricing, support, and the exact objects covered before you sign.
