Sony’s published specifications make it a promising feature set, but they do not establish how bright it gets, how well it controls blooming, or how it performs in a room. This is a specifications-based review, not a hands-on or lab-tested verdict.
What the Sony K-75XR70M2 is
Sony identifies the K-75XR70M2 as the 2026 BRAVIA 7 II. Its screen is 75 inches by class name and 74.5 inches measured diagonally, according to Sony India’s specifications. Keep the model number in view when shopping: the earlier K-75XR70 is a different television, and specifications or reviews for it should not be treated as M2 evidence.

Sony describes the M2 as a True RGB Mini LED TV, with independently controlled red, green, and blue LEDs, an XR Processor, and X-Wide Angle. The manufacturer says its RGB system delivers an expanded color range and high brightness; those are product claims, not independent measurements of this particular set. Sony’s U.S. product page presents it as a 4K HDR Google TV with Gemini: Sony BRAVIA 7 II product page.
How good is its picture?
The specifications describe an ambitious display design, but they cannot answer the questions that determine real-world picture quality. No exact-model independent measurements are established here for peak brightness, HDR tone mapping, black level, local-dimming behavior, visible blooming, color accuracy, reflections, viewing angles, or motion. There is therefore no sound basis to call the K-75XR70M2 a proven bright-room or dark-room performer, or to compare its image quality with another premium TV.
#1 Best Overall
- BIG SCREEN CINEMA EXPERIENCE: Experience movies, sports, and gaming on a large display that transforms your space into a home theater.
- ANTI-GLARE FOR ANY LIGHTING CONDTION: Watch without distractions. Anti-Glare Screen technology minimizes glare from windows and ambient lighting, so you can enjoy clear, vibrant picture quality no matter where you place your TV. (Available on 65” and 75” class screen sizes only.)
- MOVIES INCLUDED WITH THE BRAVIA TV: Access SONY PICTURES CORE with Pure Stream and the largest IMAX Enhanced collection included with BRAVIA. 5 credits to redeem on latest release movies and 12 months subscription on hundreds of classics.
- CINEMATIC PICTURE AND SOUND AT HOME: Support for Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos delivers an immersive viewing experience. DTS:X creates cinema-like audio that surrounds you.
- SMARTER PICTURE IN REAL TIME: The XR Processor uses AI scene recognition to optimize color, contrast, and clarity in every frame. XR Clear Image uses AI to restore lost detail and reduce noise in your content.
Sony lists HDR10, HLG, and Dolby Vision support in its model specifications. Format support tells you what the TV accepts; it does not show how accurately it renders a movie or game. For an image-quality buying decision, look for testing that names K-75XR70M2 specifically rather than relying on BRAVIA 7 results or general claims about RGB Mini LED.
Gaming: 4K/120Hz, VRR and HDMI ports
Sony lists four HDMI inputs, signal support up to 3840 × 2160 at 120 Hz, VRR on HDMI 3 and 4, and ALLM on HDMI 1 through 4. The port-specific details appear in Sony Japan’s BRAVIA 7 II specifications; confirm the matching local model documentation before installation, since regional specifications can vary.

- For 4K/120Hz: use a source and cable capable of the intended output, then select the appropriate resolution and refresh rate on the console or PC.
- For VRR: connect the gaming device to HDMI 3 or 4 and verify VRR is enabled on both the TV and source.
- For ALLM: Sony lists support across all four HDMI ports, but the source must also support the feature.
These specifications do not establish input lag or guarantee that every advanced signal format works on every port in every setup. Check the exact TV manual and source-device requirements when planning a multi-device system.

Sony India lists the television at approximately 1,671 × 1,034 × 386 mm with its stand and 42.1 kg with the stand. The set’s listed VESA mounting pattern is 300 × 300 mm. These are useful planning figures, but verify measurements and accessory details for the unit sold in your region on Sony’s local specifications page.

- Measure the furniture’s usable width and depth, and check that it can safely support at least the television’s listed weight.
- For wall mounting, confirm that the mount supports a 300 × 300 mm pattern and the TV’s weight. Sony’s U.S. support page lists the SU-WL905 wall-mount guide: K-75XR70M2 support.
- Plan delivery and lifting: Sony lists a carton size of approximately 1,790 × 1,161 × 196 mm, which may affect doorways, stairs, and storage before installation.
A 75-inch TV of this weight is a two-person installation in practical terms; use suitable help and hardware rather than relying on a mount’s hole pattern alone.
Smart TV, audio and regional details
Sony’s U.S. product page identifies Google TV and lists Google Assistant, Chromecast, Apple AirPlay, and HomeKit. It says Gemini is available on select models by software update, so availability may depend on model, region, and software version. Confirm the features offered on the specific regional unit before purchase.

Sony lists eARC/ARC support. That gives owners a route to connect compatible audio equipment, but the available specifications do not establish whether the built-in speakers are inadequate or endorse a particular soundbar. Sony also notes that included components may vary by country or region; its manuals page identifies the RMF-TX840U remote family. See Sony’s K-75XR70M2 manuals for regional documentation.
Price and buying verdict
Sony’s U.S. product page displayed $2,299.99 and a $3,099.99 comparison price on October 7, 2026. That is a dated listing snapshot, not a guaranteed current price, a stable MSRP recommendation, or a comparison across retailers. Check the seller’s current price, delivery terms, warranty, and return policy before ordering.

On verified specifications alone, the K-75XR70M2 is a feature-rich large-screen option if you want Google TV, Dolby Vision, 4K/120Hz input support, and VRR. Whether it is worth its price depends on the picture performance Sony’s specifications cannot prove and on same-date comparisons with competing sets. Treat it as a promising candidate, not a confirmed image-quality winner, until independent testing of the exact M2 model is available.
