CHOICE lists 84dB noise, a 4.4kg appliance weight, a 1.9kg jug weight and dimensions of 43 × 19 × 20cm (H × W × D). Treat the noise figure as CHOICE’s published specification, not a measurement of how loud it will sound in every kitchen or during every task. The jug’s listed weight is relevant if you regularly lift and pour a full vessel.

ProductReview.com.au displayed six reviews and a 3.3 rating when accessed, identifying the verified MPN as BL9710A-SA. The visible accounts are mixed: some owners praised ice crushing, value, cleaning or general performance, while others described trouble engaging the lid or switch. One recent reviewer reported locking-mechanism trouble and returning two units; another reported an electrical-burning smell followed by shutdown.

Will it crush ice, blend greens or make nut butter?
Kmart lists an ice-crush preset, and some ProductReview.com.au owners say they were pleased with ice crushing. That supports saying the blender is designed and marketed for that use; it does not establish a consistent result for every load or recipe. CHOICE lists ice crushing among its tests, but the model’s task score is not public on the accessible page.

The same evidence limit applies to leafy greens and nut butter. CHOICE names green smoothies, kale and nut butter in its test categories, but does not expose the scores there. A 1000W rating does not by itself tell you how smooth a green drink will be or whether a particular blender can process thick nut butter reliably. If those are your main uses, seek task-specific results you can inspect rather than relying on the wattage or preset list.
Kmart describes soups as a possible use, but the listing does not establish that the jug is suitable for blending hot liquids. The available material also does not provide a public result for CHOICE’s raw-soup test. Follow the manual and recipe temperature guidance; do not assume a glass jug is safe for hot blending simply because soup is mentioned.

Cleaning and safe use
The manual says every part except the motor unit is dishwasher safe. Never immerse the motor unit, and take care around the sharp blades. For the auto-clean method, the manual directs users to add about 400–500ml of warm water, run the function and then rinse the jar. It also recommends storing the jar with the lid not fully closed so air can circulate and help prevent odour.
Use the manual’s instructions for assembly and operation, especially if the lid or locking mechanism does not engage normally. Stop using the appliance if it develops an electrical-burning smell or shuts down unexpectedly, and contact Kmart rather than repeatedly trying to run it.
