The Sisters Grimm is currently listed as an Apple TV title, and Apple’s U.S. listing does not show a free streaming option without Apple TV access. You may be able to watch without paying a separate monthly bill yourself through an eligible trial, a plan that includes Apple TV, or Family Sharing—but each route still relies on an Apple TV subscription entitlement.
Do you need Apple TV+ to watch The Sisters Grimm?
Yes. Apple’s current U.S. series listing offers a seven-day trial followed by $14.99 per month. It does not list a free, no-subscription stream. The offer and price are specific to the U.S. listing and may differ by region or change; trial eligibility can also depend on the account.

Apple says the series is an animated fantasy about Sabrina and Daphne Grimm, whose parents disappear before the sisters move to a magical town where fairy tales are real. Ariel Winter, Leah Newman, and Billy Harris are among the listed voice cast.
Ways to watch without paying a separate monthly bill
These options can reduce or avoid a separate charge in some circumstances, but none makes the show a free standalone stream.
| Access route | What it means | What to check |
|---|---|---|
| Apple TV trial | The U.S. show listing currently displays seven days free, then $14.99 per month. | Check the offer and trial eligibility shown for your Apple account before starting; the trial changes to a paid subscription unless canceled under its terms. |
| Apple One | Apple lists Apple TV as included with Apple One. | Confirm the bundle and terms available in your country on Apple’s subscription page. |
| Apple Music Student Plan | Apple lists Apple TV as included with the Apple Music Student Plan. | Check current eligibility and availability in your region on Apple’s subscription page. |
| Family Sharing | Apple says one Apple TV subscription can be shared with up to five family members. | A family organizer or member must already have an eligible subscription, and sharing does not remove the subscription requirement. |
Apple TV is available through the Apple TV app on many devices and at tv.apple.com. Apple’s 2026 announcement says the service is available in more than 100 countries and regions, but the U.S. price and trial above should not be treated as global pricing. Check the listing and offer for your own country.
Do downloads or the books let you watch for free?
No. Apple describes downloads as an offline-viewing feature for Apple Originals; downloading does not remove the Apple TV access requirement. Michael Buckley’s The Sisters Grimm books are related reading and inspired the series, but owning or reading them does not unlock the adaptation.

When did The Sisters Grimm premiere?
Apple’s series announcement said season one would premiere globally on October 3, 2025. Apple TV Press lists season two’s release date as October 2, 2026, and the current series page describes the season as now streaming. Release availability may still depend on the viewer’s country and Apple TV access.
