Usually, no. Wii games played on a PC through Dolphin do not have documented native DLSS support, and NVIDIA’s DLSS override instructions do not establish that an override can add DLSS to Dolphin. For a sharper image, Dolphin’s own internal-resolution and post-processing settings are the documented options.
Why DLSS and Wii emulation are separate
Dolphin emulates GameCube and Wii games, rendering them through the emulator’s graphics pipeline rather than running as native PC games. DLSS is NVIDIA’s neural graphics technology for image reconstruction and frame generation; its features depend on supported integration or a compatible app feature being active. NVIDIA describes DLSS as a graphics technology, while its DLSS override instructions address compatible games and apps with the relevant DLSS feature active.

Dolphin’s documented graphics configuration instead exposes its own internal-resolution scaling, output resampling, and post-processing controls. Those settings do not amount to DLSS support. The official materials cited here do not identify Dolphin as a native DLSS implementation or establish that an NVIDIA override adds DLSS to it. That is a conclusion about documented support, not proof that no unofficial experiment exists.
What you can use to improve Dolphin’s image
Raise Dolphin’s internal resolution
Dolphin can render a game at a higher internal resolution than the original console output. This is an emulator-side rendering setting and is independent of DLSS. A higher scale can make the rendered image look sharper on a high-resolution display, but it can also increase GPU load; the best setting depends on the game and your system. Try post-processing carefully
Dolphin also offers post-processing shaders that can change how the rendered image looks. They are not DLSS, and the graphics pipeline can limit what a shader can do. In a 2022 developer progress report, Dolphin’s developers explained that some games have already discarded depth information during rendering, leaving post-processing with only a 2D frame; the report says this is common enough for GameCube and Wii that Dolphin’s post-processing excludes depth. That dated explanation describes a pipeline constraint, not every current graphics-mod capability.

The official Dolphin and NVIDIA documentation cited here verifies Dolphin’s own resolution and shader settings and NVIDIA’s stated override conditions; it does not verify a particular third-party scaling tool or a universal driver workaround.

Check game-specific behavior and controls
Performance and configuration vary by game, so consult Dolphin’s FAQ and official guides for title-specific advice and current setup details. Dolphin also has controller configuration instructions. A Wii Remote Plus with MotionPlus may be useful when a game calls for original motion input, but controller needs depend on the title and your chosen mapping; it has no bearing on graphics quality or DLSS.
