The Global version of Code Geass: Lost Stories reportedly shut down on August 29, 2024, at 00:00 PST, so transferring a Global account before that shutdown is no longer a current option. The available evidence does not establish whether Global accounts can now be recovered or moved to the Japanese version. If you still have access to a live service, the game’s documented account-transfer routes were a transfer ID and password, Google or Apple linking, and— for PC play—DMM account linking.
What the Global shutdown means now
The reported Global service end date, August 29, 2024 at 00:00 PST, is in the past. That date appears in a secondary archived profile extract reproducing the game’s Global account announcement; it is not independently confirmed here from a primary notice. The archived extract is the basis for the reported date.

The Japanese edition should not be treated as a continuation or recovery route for Global accounts. A Google Play listing for the Japanese app showed an update dated August 28, 2026, but a store-listing update does not establish that its servers are available, nor that Global data can be imported. The Japanese Google Play listing does not document cross-region account migration.

Documented account-transfer options
Transfer ID and password
The game’s device-change and data-loss FAQ instructed players to set a transfer password in advance and keep it together with the transfer ID. Both credentials were needed; having only one was not enough. The FAQ also said that device backup and restore features do not transfer game data. See the official transfer and data-loss FAQ.
Google or Apple account linking
The external-account FAQ documented linking through Google or Apple. Its described setup path was the in-game CONFIG screen, then Data Link; recovery was initiated through Data Link from the title screen. The FAQ said transfers between different operating systems were not supported, so a linked account should not be assumed to work across iOS and Android. These are historical instructions, not confirmation that the flow remains available after service closure. See the official external-account linking FAQ.

DMM linking for smartphone data on PC
The FAQ also described linking smartphone game data with a DMM account to play that data on PC. It warned that the association could not be undone. Before linking, players needed to verify that they were using the intended game data and DMM account. The instructions do not say this is a way to move an account between Global and Japanese editions. See the official DMM linking FAQ.
Uninstalling is not the same as deleting your account
The FAQ said uninstalling the app did not itself delete the player account; transfer credentials could still make resuming possible. That guidance depended on the service and account-recovery flow being available. The uninstall FAQ distinguishes removing the app from deleting account data.

What to do based on your situation
- You still have access to a live version: Use its in-game transfer or linked-account options and consult official support for recovery tied to your account.
- You have a Global account after the reported shutdown: The available FAQs do not establish post-closure recovery. Do not assume a transfer ID, linked provider, or support route will restore access.
- You are considering the Japanese app: Installing it is not evidence that it can import Global data. No source cited here confirms a Global-to-Japan migration route.
- You removed the app but did not request account deletion: The historical FAQ treated uninstalling as distinct from deletion, but successful recovery still depends on the relevant service being available and valid credentials.
- You deleted the account: The deletion notice described this as permanent and unrecoverable.
