Yes—but, as of October 20, 2026, Deezer is the only major service in the available announcements with a documented listener-controlled exclusion for AI-generated music. Deezer says a global on/off toggle will arrive before the end of 2026 and will remove fully AI-generated tracks, albums and related artists from search results. Spotify offers AI credits, AI Persona badges and recommendation safeguards, while YouTube Music is adding player labels for songs made primarily with generative AI. Neither service has announced a switch that blocks every AI-generated song from search, playlists and playback.
The distinction matters: Deezer’s planned control targets works created entirely through generative AI. A song made by human musicians that uses a limited AI-assisted element is treated differently. If avoiding all AI involvement is your requirement, no cited service currently promises that level of filtering.

What “opting out” means in practice
Streaming services can expose AI-related controls at several different points in the listening experience. A label may tell you that a track used generative AI, but it does not stop the track from playing. A recommendation filter can reduce appearances in home-page mixes or editorial playlists, yet leave the same song searchable. A true opt-out needs a user-controlled exclusion that prevents the targeted catalog from being surfaced in the places covered by the setting.
Recommended Free Tools
For this topic, the strongest definition is a switch that removes AI-generated music from normal discovery. Deezer’s announced control is the closest match: it excludes fully AI-generated tracks, albums and related artists from search results. The announcement does not say that every AI-assisted recording will disappear, nor does it establish that files already saved offline are deleted. Those limits should be understood before enabling it.

Deezer: the only announced exclusion toggle
What the toggle removes
On October 13, 2026, Deezer announced an on/off setting that it expects to make available globally before the end of 2026. When activated, the setting removes fully AI-generated tracks, albums and related artists from search results. You can deactivate it to regain access. This is a catalog-discovery control, not a declaration that every recording containing any AI tool is forbidden.
Deezer describes a distinction between music made entirely with generative systems and music created through a broader human process. For example, a human artist might use an AI tool for a small production task while writing, performing or arranging the rest of the work. The announcement says such limited assistance is treated differently, so the toggle should not be interpreted as a guarantee that no AI-assisted sound will ever be heard.
How Deezer’s detection effort fits the setting
Deezer says its detection system has been operating since the beginning of 2025 and can identify tracks made with models such as Suno and Udio. The company says it is licensing the detection technology to the wider music industry. These are Deezer’s statements about its own system; they do not establish that every AI-generated upload across the market can be detected perfectly.
Deezer reported that it detected and excluded more than 42 million AI-generated tracks from algorithmic and editorial recommendations between January 2025 and August 2026, and tagged more than 14 million albums. Those figures concern Deezer’s recommendation and tagging operations, while the new user toggle is specifically described as affecting search results.

Deezer’s reported scale and fraud figures
In a 2025 statement, Deezer reported receiving more than 20,000 fully AI-generated tracks per day, representing over 18% of uploads at that time. In its 2026 announcement, it said fully AI-generated music accounted for 1–3% of streams in 2025 and that up to 85% of streams generated by those tracks were fraudulent. These percentages are Deezer-reported measurements, not an independently established rate for every streaming service.
What Alexis Lanternier said
Deezer CEO Alexis Lanternier described the rationale this way: “We’ve seen a clear user demand for the ability to filter out AI-generated music, and we are now giving everyone the option to remove this content completely from their streaming experience on Deezer, and focus only on human creators and creations, if they wish.” The wording reflects Deezer’s product goal; the documented scope remains fully AI-generated works and search-result exclusion.
How to use Deezer’s toggle when it reaches your account
Deezer has announced the function but has not published a single universal menu path for every app version. The rollout is expected globally before the end of 2026, so the label and location may differ between mobile, desktop and web clients. Use this process once the setting appears:
The Tool Desk
Outbyte PC Repair FREEClear out junk files and repair common Windows errorsFree Scan →Outbyte Driver Updater FREEFix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitchesFind Drivers →- Update Deezer. Install the current version of the app or reload the web player so your account can receive the rollout.
- Open account or playback settings. Look for a control referring to AI-generated music, AI content or excluding fully AI-generated tracks. Deezer’s announcement confirms the toggle, but does not specify one permanent navigation path.
- Turn the exclusion on. Confirm the setting if the app presents a warning. The documented effect is removal of fully AI-generated tracks, albums and related artists from search results.
- Test a known result. Search for a track or artist you believe is classified as fully AI-generated. A missing result indicates the filter is being applied; it does not prove that every AI-assisted recording has been removed.
- Turn it off to restore access. Deezer says users can deactivate the toggle and regain access to the excluded material.
If you cannot find the control yet, that is consistent with a staged rollout before the end-of-2026 deadline. Do not assume that a missing setting means your account is ineligible or that the feature has been withdrawn.

Spotify: useful identification, not a universal block
AI Credits in Song Credits
Spotify’s October 20, 2026 update says listeners can view AI Credits in the Song Credits panel from the Now Playing view. Credits are a transparency mechanism: they can help you inspect a track’s disclosed AI involvement, but they do not automatically prevent playback or remove the song from search.
AI Persona badges and recommendations
Spotify also says AI Persona badges identify profiles whose public identity appears AI-generated. Those AI Personas are excluded from editorial or algorithmic recommendations by default unless a listener follows one. This is a recommendation rule for a particular profile category, not a switch that scans and blocks every AI-generated track.
Spam and “slop” removals
Spotify reported removing more than 50 million slop and spam tracks from recommendations in 2026 and more than 75 million spammy tracks from the platform for serious or repeated violations. Those enforcement totals address spam and policy violations. They should not be read as a promise that all AI-generated music is removed, or that a listener can opt out of it.
Therefore, if you ask, “Can I block AI songs on Spotify?” the documented answer is no complete listener-controlled block. You can inspect available credits and benefit from Spotify’s recommendation filtering, but the cited update does not describe a setting that removes every AI-generated track from search, playlists and playback.

YouTube Music: labels on the player, no hide switch announced
YouTube announced on October 14, 2026 that YouTube Music was rolling out labels directly on the player when a song was created primarily using generative AI. The stated examples include cases in which generative AI created the composition and vocals. YouTube says it combines disclosures from music partners with its own detection tools.
The announcement describes transparency, not exclusion. It does not say that listeners can hide labeled songs, prevent them from appearing in search or playlists, or block playback. If your goal is to identify AI-heavy tracks before listening, the player label is useful. If your goal is to remove them from the service, YouTube Music has not documented that control in the cited update.
Fully AI-generated versus AI-assisted music
The category boundary is central to any opt-out. “Fully AI-generated” generally describes a work in which the core musical output is produced by generative systems. “AI-assisted” can cover a much wider range, from a mastering suggestion or stem cleanup to generated melodies, vocals or arrangements incorporated into a human-led production.
Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errors2Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitches3Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problemsDeezer’s announced toggle is aimed at the first category. Its public description does not promise to identify or exclude every recording that used an AI plug-in, editing feature or isolated generated element. Spotify’s credits and YouTube’s labels may also depend on disclosures and detection criteria that are not identical to Deezer’s. As a result, no service in the cited announcements lets you define your own threshold—for example, “allow mastering assistance but reject generated vocals.”

Switching services without losing playlists
If avoiding fully AI-generated music is important enough to change services, Deezer identifies Tune My Music as a partner that can transfer playlists, albums, artists and tracks from another service in three steps. Treat that as a transfer option, not a guarantee that every item will match: catalogs differ, regional rights change and unavailable tracks may need replacements. Check any commercial relationship or referral terms independently before connecting accounts.
- Export or connect your source service. Use the transfer partner’s current instructions and authorize only the accounts you intend to move.
- Select the playlists and library items. Include playlists, saved albums, followed artists or individual tracks according to what the service supports.
- Review the destination library. Look for unmatched songs, duplicate versions, explicit-content substitutions and region-specific omissions before deleting anything from the old account.
Keep the original service active until you have checked the transferred playlists and confirmed that Deezer’s AI exclusion toggle is available to your account.
What about Apple Music, Amazon Music, TIDAL and regional services?
Authoritative, current listener-filter documentation was not established for Apple Music, Amazon Music, TIDAL or every regional service in the announcements covered here. Their silence should not be interpreted as proof that no control exists; it means you should look for a current help or product page from the specific service before relying on one.

Search for wording such as “hide AI-generated music,” “exclude generative-AI tracks” or “AI content filter,” and check whether the control applies to search, recommendations, editorial playlists, radio and playback separately. A label or an artist disclosure is not equivalent to an opt-out.
Which option fits your goal?
- You want a documented exclusion now: Deezer is the only service in these announcements with an announced listener toggle. Availability is promised globally before the end of 2026, not necessarily on every account immediately.
- You want to inspect songs before playing them: Spotify’s AI Credits and YouTube Music’s player labels provide the clearest documented transparency signals.
- You want fewer low-quality or abusive uploads: Spotify’s recommendation and enforcement measures target spam and policy violations, but they are not an AI-only filter.
- You want to avoid any use of AI, including small production assistance: None of the documented controls offers that guarantee. Their definitions and detection methods are narrower or undisclosed.
- You are willing to move libraries: Deezer’s announced toggle plus a playlist-transfer service may reduce manual rebuilding, but verify matches and account terms before switching.
The practical bottom line is narrow but clear: Deezer is moving toward a real opt-out for fully AI-generated music, while Spotify and YouTube Music currently emphasize disclosure and recommendation safeguards. Until other services publish an equivalent exclusion setting, readers who need a complete block should check the exact scope of Deezer’s toggle when it appears and avoid assuming that labels or spam controls provide the same protection.
