Totenreich has six relics, but the documented completion route spreads them across three runs because higher-tier relics require tier progression and several objectives have long, run-specific prerequisites. Relic-chain progress is tied to the current session, so start each chain only when you can finish it without quitting.
Why all six relics do not fit into one dependable run
Totenreich’s relics are Cursed Mode modifiers, and every modifier is a downside rather than a conventional power-up. The six relics are divided into Grim, Sinister and Wicked tiers: Power Switch and Wrestler’s Belt are Grim; Stuffed Elephant and Dancing Arnie are Sinister; Agarthan Device and Music Box are Wicked.

A single match can contain multiple objectives, but the practical route published by ZombiesCodex is deliberately staged as Run A, Run B and Run C. Tier progression, round gates, character requirements, secret-room randomness and lengthy kill counters make an all-in-one attempt a poor plan. Relic chains do not carry over after leaving the session, so each individual chain must be completed in one uninterrupted sitting.

The practical three-run route
Run A: Tier 0 and the Grim relics
Start with Power Switch. Scope the four deer-skull statues, record each randomized count, match those counts to the four pelts in Blodheim Hall, and complete the trap trial. If you have time and resources, continue into Wrestler’s Belt, but its 900-kill checklist makes it more efficient to treat it as a separate Grim objective unless your match is already set up for it.
Run B: Tier I and the Sinister relics
Use the opening rounds to prepare Dancing Arnie’s ingredients while observing Stuffed Elephant’s restriction. From round 1 through round 40, obtain no perk from any source. After the round-40 gate, complete Stuffed Elephant, catch the special-round fish, feed Mister Peeks with Jotunn Star melee kills and then finish Dancing Arnie’s melee trial.
Run C: Tier II and the Wicked relics
Choose Edward Richtofen, search the randomly accessed secret rooms for the three Agarthan items and complete the side quest before the six-wave trial. Schedule Music Box headshots before the main-quest step that may alter access to Tyr’s Head; that interaction is reported but not confirmed, so doing the headshots early avoids a potentially blocked route.

Power Switch: the safest relic to start with
Power Switch is the cleanest first target because its setup is short and its puzzle is deterministic once you record the current match’s statue counts.
What to bring
- A scoped weapon for identifying the out-of-map statues.
- A Combat Axe or Tomahawk.
- Enough Essence for approximately 10,000 Essence worth of trap activations.
How the statue puzzle works
- Scope all four deer-skull statues and write down whether each displays one, two, three or four heads. The values reroll every game, so a memorized order from a previous match is useless.
- Go to the four corresponding pelts in Blodheim Hall.
- Throw the Combat Axe at the pelts from the fewest heads to the most heads.
- If the order is wrong, the pelt sequence resets; rescope the statues rather than guessing.
- Enter the portal and clear three waves. Enemies in this trial can be damaged only by fire traps, so activate traps carefully and reserve Essence for all required activations.
The completed relic makes tactical and lethal equipment randomize each round.
Wrestler’s Belt: an 18-counter, 900-kill checklist
The hidden trigger consists of 18 counters: 17 wall-buy weapons and the Jotunn Star. Each requires 50 kills, for 900 kills total. COD Central/ZombiesCodex reported those figures in 2026; the relic was reported solved on October 16, 2026, 169 days after map launch.

Protect the Swordfish magazine first
In the Lighthouse Wonder-Weapon room, break the box and take the Swordfish magazine before picking up Jotunn Star. Taking the Star first can remove the magazine for that game, preventing completion of the checklist.
Count only eligible kills
- Buy every weapon from its own chalk outline.
- Mystery Box weapons, loadout weapons and kills made by teammates do not count toward that weapon’s counter.
- Use Weapon Stats to monitor progress; the guide recommends reaching 55–60 kills per weapon for a safety margin instead of stopping exactly at 50.
- Finish with 50 Jotunn Star kills.
Complete the Arsenal trial
Enter the Arsenal-side portal in Eidskallen Square. The four-wave trial removes your weapons after each wave; high-value-target waves occur on waves 2 and 4. Bank Essence before entering so you can repurchase suitable weapons between waves.
Stuffed Elephant: survive to round 40 without a perk
Stuffed Elephant is available at Tier I or higher and requires reaching round 40 while obtaining no perk from any source. That includes perk machines, Der Wunderfizz, GobbleGum, T.E.D.D. rewards, Mister Peeks eggs and Random Perk drops. Pack-a-Punch, Golden Armor and field upgrades remain allowed.

Timed egg hunt
- After the round-40 restriction is satisfied, go behind Jugger-Nog on Fishery Island to start the trial.
- Find four Mister Peeks eggs within three minutes.
- Search Skallen Market, Storm Bridge, Dry Dock and Beacon Island.
- Each egg spawns a high-value target. Kill that target to extend the timer and continue the search.
Successful completion applies the documented health-regeneration delay increase from three seconds to seven seconds.
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone.Dancing Arnie: prepare the pot in the only safe order
Dancing Arnie randomizes every Perk-a-Cola machine, including Der Wunderfizz. Its ingredient sequence has a serious failure condition because the same shared can is used for both Chilly Chunks and Jotunn Star.
Recipe and order
- Place the pot on the fire in Blodheim Hall.
- Add the ale.
- Add Chilly Chunks.
- Add a Necropincer lobster killed with a Flammenfalle.
- Add the special-round red fish.
- Only after Chilly Chunks is in the pot, build Jotunn Star.
Building Jotunn Star before adding Chilly Chunks consumes the shared can and permanently soft-locks Dancing Arnie for that run. After the recipe, feed Mister Peeks roughly 100 Jotunn Star melee kills. Reports vary between about 75 and 100, so continue until the laugh cue rather than stopping at a lower estimate.

Five-wave melee trial
Finish on Fishery Island in five melee-only waves. High-value targets appear on waves 2 and 5; save enough healing and armor resources to handle those spikes without using a ranged weapon.
Agarthan Device: the Wicked relic with the highest run risk
Agarthan Device requires Tier II or higher and Edward Richtofen. It randomizes the zombie type each round, cycling through Normal, Frost and Acid in the documented pattern.
Required setup
- Buy Melee Macchiato directly from its perk machine. Perkaholic and other indirect sources can break the barrel interaction.
- Use the randomly accessed secret rooms to collect Mr. Peeks, the Helmet and the Walkie-Talkie.
- Complete Richtofen’s side quest.
- Place all three items on the throne.
Six-wave completion trial
The final sequence is tuned to round-60 difficulty. Zombies can be damaged only indoors, and high-value targets appear on waves 3 and 6. Keep the fight inside eligible rooms and reserve equipment for those HVT waves.
Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minute2Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problems3Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitchesDo not save and quit after collecting the items or opening the barrel. The documented behavior resets the progress and leaves the barrel unable to reopen, forcing a new run.
Music Box: schedule the Wicked headshot objective early
Music Box is the second Wicked relic and limits enemies to critical-hit damage. The current route places its headshot objective before the main-quest step that changes access to Tyr’s Head. That access interaction is not confirmed, but completing the headshots first is the lower-risk scheduling choice because it avoids depending on a later map-state change.
Decision checklist before you launch a relic run
- Confirm that the required Grim, Sinister or Wicked tier is active; Stuffed Elephant needs Tier I or higher, while Agarthan Device needs Tier II or higher.
- Reserve a full uninterrupted session. Leaving the match does not preserve relic-chain progress.
- For Power Switch, bring a scope and Combat Axe and record every statue count.
- For Wrestler’s Belt, secure the Swordfish magazine before Jotunn Star and track all 18 counters.
- For Stuffed Elephant, commit to 40 rounds with no perk source at all.
- For Dancing Arnie, put Chilly Chunks in the pot before constructing Jotunn Star.
- For Agarthan Device, select Richtofen, buy Melee Macchiato from its machine and avoid save-and-quit after the barrel interaction.
- For Music Box, complete headshots before the Tyr’s Head main-quest step.
Bottom line
Totenreich’s six relics are not a realistic one-playthrough collection goal. The reliable plan is three purpose-built runs: Power Switch and the Grim setup first, the round-40 and ingredient work for the Sinister relics second, and Richtofen’s Tier II secret-room chain plus Music Box scheduling last. Treat every relic chain as a single-session objective, and the route becomes manageable instead of gambling an entire match on one missed prerequisite.
