Not as a confirmed built-in Shortcut workflow. Apple documents how to save a Safari webpage as a PDF, and separately documents running JavaScript on an active Safari webpage. Its guidance does not describe a Shortcut that automatically captures the visible webpage as a screenshot and saves that image as a PDF. The distinction matters: a PDF of webpage content is not necessarily an image of exactly what appeared on screen.
First decide which kind of PDF you need
- A readable webpage PDF: Safari can save webpage content as a PDF through its Share and Markup flow. This is the documented option if your goal is to keep or share the page’s content.
- A screenshot inside a PDF: This would preserve the rendered screen as an image, rather than produce a document version of the webpage. Apple’s cited instructions do not confirm a Shortcut that performs this exact capture-and-save sequence automatically.
Save a Safari webpage as a PDF
Apple’s documented Safari workflow uses the Share menu and Markup; the exact first control can vary with the Safari layout.

- Open the webpage in Safari on your iPhone.
- Tap the page menu or the Share button.
- Tap Markup.
- Tap Done, then choose Save File To.
- Name the PDF, choose where to save it, and confirm.

What Shortcuts can do with a webpage in Safari
Shortcuts includes a Run JavaScript on Webpage action. Apple describes it as a way to retrieve data from or modify a webpage—not as a screenshot action. To use it, launch the shortcut from Safari’s share sheet with an active Safari webpage as its input, and enable Allow Running Scripts in Shortcuts settings. Apple notes that the JavaScript action has a time limit, so scripts should finish quickly.

Safari webpages are a supported Shortcuts input type, and when a shortcut is launched from another app, that app’s shared input is passed to the first action. These capabilities do not, by themselves, establish a workflow that captures the visible page as an image and saves that image as a PDF. If you already have a PDF open in Safari
For a PDF that is already open in Safari, Apple documents using Share and then Save to Files. That saves the existing PDF; it is not a method for converting an arbitrary webpage screenshot into a PDF. Apple’s iPhone guide to saving and editing PDFs.

What to do if you need an exact screenshot PDF
If you need the screen image rather than a document-style webpage PDF, treat automatic capture-and-export as unconfirmed by the cited Apple guidance. That does not prove no user-created Shortcut or other iOS method exists; it means Apple’s cited instructions do not provide a version-specific recipe to rely on. Verify any proposed Shortcut on your iOS version and check that its PDF contains an image of the screen, not merely reformatted webpage content.
