Yes. You can set a YouTube Premiere to send viewers to a live stream after the Premiere ends, using YouTube Live Redirect. It is an end-of-event handoff—not a way to replace the Premiere with a live broadcast while it is playing. You set it up in YouTube Studio under the Premiere’s Customization > Redirect settings.
How to redirect a Premiere audience to a live stream
- In YouTube Studio, open Content and select the Live tab.
- Find the Premiere and choose Edit.
- Open Customization.
- Under Redirect, select Add.
- Choose another Premiere or search for the live stream you want viewers to reach, then save the setting.
YouTube says the redirect takes effect when the Premiere ends. Set up the destination stream and redirect in advance so the intended destination is ready at handoff time. See YouTube’s Live Redirect instructions.

Who can use Live Redirect?
YouTube’s current Help page says the creator sending viewers must have more than 1,000 subscribers and no Community Guidelines strikes. If the destination is a live stream on another channel, that channel must allow the redirect in its YouTube Studio settings. Check eligibility and destination permission before announcing the handoff; see YouTube’s eligibility and permission requirements.

The Premiere remains a Premiere: YouTube describes Premieres as a way for creators and viewers to watch and experience a new video together in real time. Live Redirect sends viewers on only after that event ends; it does not turn the video into a live broadcast. The destination appears after the transition, and YouTube advises allowing a few seconds for screens to reload.

Do not assume every viewer will move without action. YouTube’s TeamYouTube announcement says autoplay moves viewers to the selected stream or Premiere when enabled; viewers who have autoplay turned off may need to click play. Tell the audience where you are taking them and to wait briefly for the destination to load. YouTube’s announcement is dated May 3, 2022: Live Redirect: move your audience to the live stream or Premiere of your choice.
