The Camp Snap 2 is worth considering if you want a simple digital point-and-shoot that lets you take pictures without reviewing each one on-camera. It has no photo-preview screen, keeps an 8 MP sensor and adds six built-in filters plus a QuickDraw battery-saving feature. That deliberate simplicity comes with a practical compromise: you cannot check framing or exposure as you shoot, and its automatic exposure and modest image quality are not a match for a quality-focused compact camera.
What is new in Camp Snap 2?
Camp Snap describes the model as its second-generation screen-free camera. It retains an 8 MP sensor and adds six swappable onboard filters, CampLock settings and QuickDraw. The manufacturer says QuickDraw saves battery by letting you draw and press the shutter, and that filters can be changed on-camera without an app. These are manufacturer specifications and descriptions, not independently measured results. Camp Snap’s product page lists the features.

- Six filters: Standard, Vintage 1, Vintage 2, Vintage 3, Analog and Black & White.
- QuickDraw: a battery-saving behavior the maker describes with the line, “Just draw and press the shutter.”
- CampLock: settings intended to keep the camera configured as desired.
- USB-C: charging and transferring photos.
- Tripod mount and filter thread: a universal tripod mount is listed by Camp Snap; Tom’s Guide reports a 30.5 mm filter thread.
Camp Snap estimates about 500 photos per charge and roughly 2,000 photos on the preinstalled MicroSD card. Those are maker-provided estimates, not guarantees; the included card means extra storage is not required to start using the camera.
Can you see photos on the Camp Snap 2?
No. The camera has no screen for reviewing photos, so you cannot inspect a shot until you transfer the files later. It does have a small status or shot-counter display; “screen-free” means no photo preview, not no display of any kind. TechRadar’s review describes the delayed-viewing workflow.

- Read Before You Buy — No Video Output: These adapters support charging and USB 2.0 data transfer, but cannot transmit video signals. Except for standard USB webcams (which use USB data only), they are not compatible with HDMI/DisplayPort cables, video-capable USB-C hubs, or docking stations with video output.
- Convert USB-A Ports to USB-C: Designed to connect USB-C earphones, cables, flash drives, card readers, and other USB-C accessories to standard USB-A ports. Plug-and-play with no drivers or software required.
- Aluminum Alloy Housing: Built with a sturdy aluminum alloy shell that aids in heat dissipation and protects against daily wear and scratches. Designed to maintain a stable and secure connection.
- Compact & Travel-Friendly: The ultra-compact design allows the adapter to stay plugged into your device without blocking adjacent ports or adding bulk, reducing wear and tear on your original USB ports.
- 12-Month Warranty: Backed by a 12-month manufacturer warranty for peace of mind. Designed to meet strict quality control standards for reliable everyday performance.
This is the central choice: the camera removes the option to check and retake a picture immediately. That may suit casual candid photography or people who prefer to stay focused on the moment rather than review every frame. It also means missed framing, blinking, blur or poor exposure may only become apparent after the session. The design encourages a less review-heavy process, but it cannot guarantee better attention or a usable result for every shot.
How good are Camp Snap 2 photos?
Expect casual snapshots rather than the flexibility or consistency of a more capable compact camera. Tom’s Guide reports an 8 MP 1/3.2-inch CMOS sensor and a fixed-focus 4.2 mm f/2.0 lens. The reviewer found the camera enjoyable for casual candid photos and liked having filters onboard, but also noted image-quality limitations and difficulty balancing shadow and highlight.

The camera relies on automatic exposure, with no onboard aperture, shutter-speed or ISO adjustments, according to Tom’s Guide. That keeps operation simple but leaves little room to correct a scene that challenges the camera’s exposure. The same review reported improved shutter delay compared with earlier Camp Snap models, while noting that delay could still happen in some instances; that is a reviewer observation, not a performance guarantee for every unit. Read Tom’s Guide’s review for its handling and image-quality assessment.

Camp Snap 2 vs. CS-Pro: which should you get?
The CS-Pro is the more compelling same-maker option if higher resolution or flash power matters more than the Camp Snap 2’s larger set of filters. Digital Camera World reports a 16 MP sensor for the CS-Pro—twice the Camp Snap 2’s 8 MP—and a more powerful flash. The Camp Snap 2 offers six filters versus four on the CS-Pro, and its reported filter thread is smaller.

| Feature | Camp Snap 2 | CS-Pro |
|---|---|---|
| Sensor resolution | 8 MP, per Camp Snap | 16 MP, per Digital Camera World |
| Built-in filters | Six, per Camp Snap | Four, per Digital Camera World |
| Flash | Digital Camera World reports the CS-Pro has a more powerful flash | More powerful than Camp Snap 2, per Digital Camera World |
| Filter thread | 30.5 mm, per Tom’s Guide | 37 mm, per Digital Camera World |
The comparison figures come from the manufacturers and reviews cited, rather than a side-by-side test. Digital Camera World’s Camp Snap 2 versus CS-Pro comparison covers the reported differences. Choose the Camp Snap 2 if the screen-free workflow and six filters are the draw; consider the CS-Pro if resolution and stronger flash are higher priorities. Price is not a reliable deciding figure here: Tom’s Guide reported a launch price of $69/£54, described as introductory, but that dated figure does not establish today’s price in either market.
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone. Can you add a filter or tripod?
Yes, within the stated compatibility limits. Tom’s Guide reports a 30.5 mm filter thread, so a screw-in filter needs to match that size. Camp Snap lists a universal tripod mount, which supports using a compatible small tripod. Check the specific accessory’s fit before buying; neither accessory is necessary to use the camera.
