How Bug Squad Tactics plays
The central choice is how to assemble and arrange a squad. According to the U.S. App Store listing, formation affects how bugs’ abilities interact, so the game’s described strategy comes from team composition and positioning rather than manually controlling attacks.

Combat resolves automatically in turn-based encounters. The developer describes a no-countdown decision pace: players can focus on building the team and choosing upgrades while fights play out. That is a storefront description, not a hands-on assessment of how quickly battles resolve.

What the listed roster and abilities mean
The developer lists 30 playable bugs and 60 passive abilities. Those are the stated roster and ability counts; the listing does not provide enough information to rank bugs, identify a universally strongest squad, or establish which combinations are best.

What happens during a run
The App Store description says a run takes the squad through five enemies and imposes a 50-turn limit. It also describes a recovery after the first defeat; a second defeat ends the run. These rules make a run a bounded sequence of encounters, with both survival and the turn limit shaping the challenge.
Permanent upgrades versus temporary boosts
Bug Squad Tactics has progression that carries between runs as well as upgrades that apply only during a run. The developer says bugs can gain permanent star levels up to six stars, and that permanent levels carry over into later runs.
Food rewards can improve stats or add abilities during a run. Fruit can temporarily raise a bug’s star level, but that temporary boost does not persist after a run-ending defeat. The distinction matters when evaluating a reward: permanent star progression is lasting, while run-based food and fruit effects are tied to the current attempt.

The U.S. App Store listing identifies Adisoft Gaming Co., LTD as the developer and seller, categorizes the game as Puzzle, and lists it as free with in-app purchases for iPhone and iPad. The storefront showed a size of 430.8 MB and an age rating of 13+ when accessed on October 7, 2026; store metadata can change.

Pocket Gamer’s October 6, 2026 coverage describes the game as newly released for iOS and Android. A Google Play developer-catalog result also lists Bug Squad Tactics under Adisoft Gaming, but a title-specific Android page was not examined. Detailed Android availability, compatibility, and pricing therefore cannot be established from that catalog result alone.

Who may enjoy it
The listed design is aimed at players who enjoy experimenting with squad formation and passive-ability combinations, and who are comfortable with automatically resolved battles. Its roguelike run structure and mix of lasting star progression with temporary run rewards provide two different kinds of advancement. The available information does not establish a best build or independently verified balance rankings, so squad choices are best understood as experimentation rather than a proven recipe.
