A report published October 6, 2026, says the four references are going on sale in the US, UK, Europe and India; Seiko’s reviewed listings directly confirm the UK lineup and prices, plus the US price for HBJ002.

Notebookcheck reported on October 6, 2026, that the HBJ watches were going on sale in the US, UK, Europe and India, with reported prices of USD 775, £690, €790 and ₹85,000, respectively. Those are reported launch figures, not confirmation of current stock or identical availability for every reference in each market.

The official listings reviewed here independently confirm £690 for each of the four UK models. Seiko’s US product page lists HBJ002 at USD 775. The reviewed official pages do not independently establish the reported Europe and India prices or regional availability across the full range. What is different about the new Speedtimers?
The headline change is the choice of four dial colors, not a different movement or a claim that these reproduce a particular vintage reference. Seiko’s US HBJ002 listing specifies its V192 solar movement; Seiko’s Singapore HBJ003 page corroborates the caliber and core product details. These are manufacturer specifications, not independent test results.

Solar movement and chronograph
- Seiko specifies approximately six months of operation when the watch is fully charged and accuracy of ±15 seconds per month.
- The chronograph measures up to 60 minutes in 1/5-second increments. The dial also has a 24-hour hand, small seconds, date display and power-reserve indicator.
- Overcharge prevention is listed as a movement feature.
These specifications are listed on Seiko’s US HBJ002 page; the official Singapore HBJ003 page corroborates the V192 and core features.

Case, crystal and water resistance
- The stainless-steel case measures 41.4 mm in diameter and 13.0 mm thick, with a 45.9 mm lug-to-lug length.
- Seiko lists curved sapphire crystal with an inner anti-reflective coating, LumiBrite on the hands and indexes, and a three-fold clasp with push-button release.
- The stated ratings are 10 bar water resistance and 4,800 A/m magnetic resistance.

Seiko’s October 2022 Speedtimer release describes the modern solar line as carrying forward the original series’ design and identifies the 1969 Speedtimer introduction as an important chronograph milestone. That history provides context for the family; it does not mean the new HBJ colors are copies of a specific historical model.
