To reach Monstro’s first boss, follow the chamber route below, defeat Parasite Cage in the Bowels, then drop into the Mouth and take High Jump from the chest near Geppetto’s ship. Equip High Jump and use the raised Mouth route through the Throat to reach the Stomach for the second Parasite Cage fight. Monstro’s route doubles back through numbered chambers, so the correct exit matters as much as the room number.

How to reach the first Parasite Cage
From the Mouth to Chamber 3
- After Monstro swallows the Gummi Ship, explore the Mouth and speak with Geppetto aboard his ship at the rear. Follow Pinocchio into Chamber 1.
- After the scene with Riku in Chamber 1, defeat the Heartless and take the lower exit to Chamber 3.
- Clear Chamber 3 and return to Chamber 1. Take the raised opening to Chamber 2.
Work through the upper chambers
- Clear Chamber 2 and enter Chamber 3. If you want the optional Dalmatians chest, use a barrel as a step to reach the ledge, then return to Chamber 2 by the right-hand opening.
- In the elevated part of Chamber 2, cross the gaps and enter Chamber 5, then continue to Chamber 6.
- The route briefly doubles back: go from Chamber 6 to Chamber 5 for optional chests and Dalmatians if desired, then return through Chamber 6 and continue to Chamber 3.
Return through the loops to the Bowels
- Follow the sequence Chamber 3 → Chamber 1 → Chamber 2 → Chamber 3 → Chamber 2 → Chamber 5 → Chamber 6.
- Re-enter Chamber 5 near the upper step. Use the barrel-and-ledge route to reach Chamber 4.
- After the scene and save opportunity in Chamber 4, enter the Bowels to fight Parasite Cage.
The repeated room numbers are intentional. If you reach a familiar chamber, check which opening you used and which one the walkthrough calls for next rather than assuming you have gone the wrong way.
Get High Jump and reach the rematch
- After defeating the first Parasite Cage, drop through the hole into the Mouth.
- Open the chest near Geppetto’s ship to obtain High Jump, then equip it as a shared ability. Prima Games’ Monstro guide also identifies High Jump as the progression ability for the next route.
- Use High Jump to reach the elevated Mouth opening above the Chamber 1 entrance. Go through the Throat and climb into the Stomach to trigger the second Parasite Cage fight.
Navigation and combat tips
Make difficult jumps safer
Clear nearby Heartless before attempting platforming sections. Enemies can knock Sora off ledges, and the Prima guide specifically recommends clearing them before tricky jumps.

Tell Barrel Spiders from ordinary barrels
Some barrels are Barrel Spiders in disguise; they rush Sora and can explode. Gamer Guides’ Monstro walkthrough recommends casting Thunder at a group to expose the mimics while leaving ordinary barrels intact. Treat this as a useful tactic, not a requirement.
Choose a first-fight approach
The GameFAQs walkthrough lists two approaches to the first Parasite Cage, which it gives as 450 HP: use Fira and/or Gravity from range and replenish MP with Ethers, or jump in for melee hits while avoiding the tentacles. The guide presents ranged magic as the safer option; choose based on whether you would rather conserve and manage MP or handle close-range movement.

Survive the second fight’s hazards
The same walkthrough lists 900 HP for the second Parasite Cage and describes poison gas and acid on the floor that drains HP. Keep Aero and Cure available, watch your footing, and use the opening when the boss reveals its dark orb by opening its mouth. The guide says hits on the orb deal double damage; Gamer Guides also points to the exposed orb as an attack opportunity and recommends Aero.
