Tracker Music is a browser-based player for revisiting tracker compositions, with a catalog its author describes as containing more than 1,300 modules. The project says it plays tracker files in real time through LibOpenMPT compiled to WebAssembly, alongside channel controls and visualizations. Its catalog size, feature set and performance figures are the author’s claims, not independently audited results.
What is a tracker module?
A tracker module is a music file built from instrument samples and sequenced pattern commands. Rather than storing only a finished recording, it tells playback software which samples to use and how to sequence them. As Eugene Pascheko explains in his September 16, 2026, DEV Community article, the files contain “raw instrument samples and sequenced pattern commands executed in real-time.”

That structure is part of the appeal: listeners can follow the arrangement as it plays, while channel-level controls and pattern displays expose elements that a conventional audio file does not. Tracker Music’s author associates the collection with Xixit and Mine Bombers and names examples including Unreal Superhero 3, Razor 1911, Skaven, Purple Motion and 4mat. The figure of more than 1,300 modules is the author’s catalog count; it has not been independently audited.

How does Tracker Music play the files in a browser?
Pascheko says Tracker Music compiles LibOpenMPT, a tracker-format playback library, to WebAssembly. The browser can then execute the compiled player code to interpret module data and generate playback, instead of depending on a pre-rendered MP3 for each track. The author reports support for .mod, .xm, .s3m and .it files.

This is a credible general approach rather than a capability unique to Tracker Music: the separate browser player Chipsound documents client-side playback for MOD, S3M, XM, IT and variants, and its repository describes using LibOpenMPT compiled to WebAssembly through Chiptune.js.
