If Break and Steal an Egg will not load, crashes while joining, or freezes after the map appears, first determine whether Roblox, one server, or this experience is failing. Open another Roblox experience, check the live Roblox Status page, then restart the official Roblox app and join a different listed server. If the map loads but your pickaxe, carrying action, or delivery run is stuck, treat that as a gameplay checkpoint problem rather than a client crash. The steps below move from reversible checks to evidence-based escalation.
Start by isolating the failure
Break and Steal an Egg is a Roblox experience by ILGames x Eggs. Its loop is to break eggs, hatch animals, steal them while avoiding guards, carry them to your base, earn cash, and upgrade movement and pickaxe abilities. A problem at any point can look like a crash, but the correct fix depends on whether Roblox itself, a particular server, the experience, or an in-game checkpoint is responsible.

Do not repeatedly press Join on a server that is visibly failing. Each retry can return you to the same unhealthy instance and makes it harder to tell whether anything changed.

Before changing game settings, open another Roblox experience. A simple test game is enough; it does not need to use the same graphics or controls. If several experiences fail to start, stop treating the egg game as the sole cause.

- Test another experience. Note whether its page opens, the client launches, and you can enter a playable area.
- Review Roblox Status. The status page reports separate components such as Website, Games, Asset Delivery, Data Store, and Game Join. A status snapshot checked for this article showed “All Systems Operational,” but that result is time-sensitive; recheck the live page when you encounter the error.
- Check your connection. If Roblox pages, the launcher, and multiple games all time out, restart your network connection and remove any temporary VPN or restrictive filtering that could block the client.
- Relaunch Roblox. Fully close the app rather than leaving it suspended in the background, then open it through the normal Roblox app or browser join flow for your device.
If other experiences work and Roblox Status is normal, a platform-wide outage is less likely. Continue with the experience and server checks instead of reinstalling immediately.
Get a clean session and a different server
A failed join can leave a stale client state or place you back into a server that is no longer responding. A clean session is quick to reverse and should come before account-level changes.
- Leave Roblox and close every Roblox window or app process that you can see.
- Reopen Roblox from the supported app or the standard browser join button. Do not use an unofficial launcher, injector, or executor.
- Open the Break and Steal an Egg experience page and start a fresh join.
- If the experience page exposes a server list, choose a different listed server instead of repeatedly selecting the same one. A server with a different player count or age can provide a useful comparison, but availability changes constantly.
- Once inside, wait for the map and interaction prompts to finish appearing before testing an egg. Rapidly leaving and rejoining during asset loading can make a normal loading delay look like a repeated crash.
If one server fails but another works, the evidence points to that server rather than your installation. Keep using the working instance and report the problematic server if the issue returns.

Roblox updates its app, launcher, and platform requirements. A client that is out of date can join some experiences and fail on another, especially when a place has recently changed its assets or scripts.
- Use the official Roblox app or normal browser join flow for your operating system. Avoid modified clients, exploit executors, “auto farm” programs, and injectors; they are not required by the experience listing and can become incompatible after an update.
- Update Roblox. Install the current version offered by your platform’s normal app channel. If your device has pending operating-system updates, apply them before troubleshooting deeper.
- Allow the client through local security controls. A firewall, parental-control profile, or endpoint filter can block game traffic while leaving the website reachable. Use your platform’s standard settings and only allow the official Roblox application.
- Test without overlays. Screen recorders, aggressive performance overlays, and input-remapping utilities can interfere with a game window. Close them temporarily to see whether the crash follows the client.
- Do not download random “repair” utilities. An online experience does not need a third-party cleaner or a physical product to load. Unverified downloads can add a security problem without correcting the join failure.
Reinstalling Roblox is a later step, not the first one. It changes more variables than a relaunch or server switch and can erase useful evidence about the original failure.

Identify the exact stage that fails
Once the map appears, separate loading from the game’s four-part run. A successful run requires you to hatch the egg, commit to carrying the animal, escape the guards, and place the animal at your base. Change one factor at a time so you know which action restored progress.
Before the experience page joins
If clicking Play does nothing, the Roblox client never opens, or you receive a join error before seeing the map, stay in the platform-and-client branch. Test another experience, check Roblox Status, fully close Roblox, update the app, and try the standard browser or app join path. Do not troubleshoot pickaxe upgrades when the place has not loaded.
During loading
A loading screen that eventually becomes a map is different from a client that closes or returns an error. Give the normal loading process a chance to complete, then try a new server if the screen remains unchanged. If every server hangs while other experiences load, record the exact message and continue to the escalation section rather than repeatedly retrying.
After the map appears: hatching
Confirm that you can move and that the egg is reachable. If the pickaxe animation never starts, verify the equipped tool and the interaction prompt before assuming Roblox crashed. A missing prompt can indicate a temporary script or server state; leaving and joining a different server is a safer test than changing several settings at once.
After hatching: carrying or committing
Some runs stall because the animal has not entered the carrying state. Look for the current on-screen prompt and complete the commit action before running toward the exit. If the animal does not follow or the carry state cancels immediately, return to the Safe Zone, rejoin a fresh server, and test one egg without changing multiple upgrades.

During the guard escape
Repeated catches are usually a movement or route problem, not a Roblox crash. Try a shorter route and confirm that jump and movement inputs respond. If the game consistently catches you at the same point while the rest of the server behaves normally, note that location and server for a report.
At delivery
The animal must reach the base for the run to pay out. If you can move, hatch, and escape but no cash is awarded, focus on the final placement prompt and the base area. Fixing delivery first is more useful than buying another upgrade or restarting the entire client.
Verify controls and prompts
A checked PC control reference lists the following defaults:

These are PC defaults from a checked reference, not a promise that every platform or future build uses the same mapping. Mobile and controller players should follow the buttons displayed by Roblox and the experience. If a prompt conflicts with the table, trust the live prompt and record the difference when reporting a bug.
Fix a missing or inactive pickaxe
When the map loads but the pickaxe does nothing, use this practical sequence. It comes from community troubleshooting rather than an official Roblox diagnosis, so treat it as a controlled test, not a guaranteed cure.

- Return to the Safe Zone. This removes distance, guard pressure, and an active delivery run from the test.
- Compare your displayed Cash with the current Pickaxe Shop row. Confirm that the item you expect to use is actually listed and affordable in the present session; shop contents and prices can change.
- Refresh the purchase panel. Close and reopen the shop or move away and back so the panel reloads. Do not buy repeatedly while the interface is unresponsive.
- Equip the pickaxe in the equipment interface. Owning or purchasing an item is not the same as having it selected. Look for the equipped state before leaving the Safe Zone.
- Test one reachable egg. Use the left-click action from the control reference and watch for a swing, hit effect, or progress change. A single nearby egg gives a cleaner result than testing during a guard chase.
- Rejoin if it still fails. Leave the server, start a clean Roblox session, and test the same basic action in another listed server.
- Report the issue through the game’s current support path if the tool remains inactive across fresh sessions. Include your platform, server or place identifier, and the exact behavior rather than only saying “it is broken.”
Do not infer that a slow break animation means the tool is missing. Pickaxe power affects how quickly an egg breaks, so compare the response with an accessible egg and the currently equipped item.

The experience’s progression systems can produce a run that feels frozen even while Roblox is functioning. Use the symptom-to-system mapping below before reinstalling the client.

These are gameplay diagnoses, not proof of a client crash. If your camera, movement, chat, and other interactions continue to work, the evidence favors a blocked game state over a failed Roblox installation.
Recover from a stuck server or frozen screen
When the screen is frozen but the Roblox menu opens
- Open the Roblox in-game menu and choose the normal leave option.
- Close Roblox completely after returning to the experience page.
- Relaunch through the supported app or browser path and select a different server.
- Test movement in the new session before starting another egg run.
This preserves a useful distinction: a single unresponsive server is different from a client that freezes everywhere.
When the entire client stops responding
End the Roblox process using your operating system’s normal application controls, then reopen it. Avoid repeatedly force-closing other programs or deleting unrelated files. If the freeze repeats only in this experience, note what was on screen immediately beforehand: loading assets, entering the Safe Zone, breaking an egg, carrying an animal, encountering a guard, or placing an animal.
When a new server also freezes
Test another Roblox experience immediately. If it freezes too, return to the platform-wide branch: check Roblox Status, network stability, app updates, and local security controls. If only this experience freezes across several servers, preserve the evidence for an experience report instead of assuming your hardware is defective.
Prepare a report that can be acted on
A useful report lets support staff distinguish a place script, server instance, client version, and network failure. Gather the details before the error disappears:
- Device type and operating system version.
- Whether you joined through the Roblox app or a browser.
- Roblox app or client version, if displayed by your platform.
- Whether other Roblox experiences load and remain playable.
- The experience name and the server or place ID, when available.
- The exact error text, including capitalization or error number.
- The stage of failure: before join, loading, hatching, carrying, escaping, or placing.
- Approximate time of the incident and your time zone.
- Whether restarting Roblox or changing servers changed the result.
- A short video or screenshot showing the prompt, frozen screen, or inactive tool when privacy and account safety allow.
Use Roblox Support for platform, account, or client problems. For an experience-only issue, use the current official community or support links associated with the game’s Roblox page. Do not send passwords, authentication codes, browser cookies, or payment details in a bug report.
Fixes to avoid
- Exploit scripts and executors: They are unofficial, can stop working after updates, and can put your account and device at risk.
- “Auto farm” tools: They do not repair a join failure or a missing server script and may violate platform rules.
- Random repair downloads: A utility that claims to fix one Roblox experience has no established connection to the game’s server or scripts.
- Repeated purchases: If the Pickaxe Shop panel is stale, clicking Buy over and over can create confusion about Cash and ownership. Refresh the panel, verify the result, and rejoin if necessary.
- Immediate account changes: Do not reset credentials or reinstall the operating system for an experience-specific loading problem. Escalate only after the scope tests show a broader client or account failure.
What can change over time
Roblox status, server availability, controls, shop rows, prices, and game systems are not permanent. The PC key mapping and progression behavior described here reflect the checked references, while the live prompts and current experience build take precedence. A status page that is operational now does not prove that a later join attempt will be healthy, and a temporary server failure does not prove that every player is affected.
Use the least disruptive test that answers your current question: another experience for scope, the status page for a platform incident, a clean session for stale client state, another listed server for an instance problem, and a checkpoint-by-checkpoint test for an in-game stall. Only after those comparisons should you escalate with the exact platform, version, server, message, and time.
