The Bosch PIE631FB1E is a four-zone, 60 cm Series 6 induction hob with DirectSelect touch controls. Bosch Germany currently marks it as no longer available, so availability depends on your local market and sellers; this is a specification-led review, not a hands-on performance test. Before considering a unit, check its exact E-Nr revision, local stock, installation dimensions and electrical requirements.

Bosch Germany says Power Boost heats “up to 35% faster” than the highest power level. That is Bosch’s feature claim, not an independent comparative test. The available specifications do not establish actual cooking speed, noise, reliability or ease of cleaning.

Dimensions and worktop cutout
Bosch lists overall appliance dimensions of 51 × 592 × 522 mm (height × width × depth). The installation niche is not identical to the hob’s outer dimensions: Bosch’s Australia sheet specifies 51 × 560 × 490 mm, while the Singapore sheet gives 51 × 560–560 × 490–500 mm. The regional sheets therefore do not give one unambiguous cutout depth range for every version.

- PORTABLE INDUCTION BURNER: Duxtop induction cooktop uses 110/120 V 15 amp electrical outlet–standard in all North American homes. ETL listed and built to North American electrical standards. It is lightweight and compact for easy handling and storage
- Choose from 20 preset power levels (100 to 1800 W) and 20 preset temperature level settings (100 °F to 460 °F). With an 83% energy efficiency, induction burner is more efficient than traditional gas or electric stoves
- DIGITAL LCD SENSOR: Touch control panel: child safety lock keeps the cooking and timer settings from being accidentally changed once they have been set; fast boil button; keep warm button (for 1-30 minutes at 140 °F); up to 10-hour timer button
- Induction stoves rely on cookware to heat, so it’s essential to choose magnetic bottom cookware with a minimum diameter of 5 inches. Auto-pan detection will shut off automatically after 60 seconds if no cookware, or the incorrect cookware is detected
- Although induction itself is a noiseless process, there may be high pitched sounds from the cookware due to multiple layers of metals sandwiched together. Please allow the induction cooker to cool down before cleaning
Use the installation guide that matches the complete model identification and your market before cutting a worktop. A qualified installer should also check the cabinetry and any applicable clearance and ventilation requirements against that guide.

Bosch’s Singapore and Australia specification sheets list a 7.4 kW connected load. Ask a qualified local installer to confirm that the supply and connection arrangements are suitable before purchase or installation.

Availability, revisions and support
Bosch Germany’s product page says the PIE631FB1E is no longer available. That status applies to the German page; it does not establish a worldwide discontinuation date or prove whether a seller in another market has stock. No current price or seller inventory has been verified.
Bosch support lists several E-Nr revisions, including /01, /02, /10, /35 and /46. Manuals, installation documents and parts routes can depend on the suffix, so match the full E-Nr on the appliance rating label rather than searching by the model name alone. Bosch’s Germany support page for PIE631FB1E/35 provides manuals, installation documents, self-help and a replacement-parts path.

The PIE631FB1E may suit someone specifically seeking a Bosch four-zone induction hob who can verify a compatible unit, installation fit and local support. It is a poor choice to buy on model name alone if you cannot confirm the exact revision, stock condition, warranty or installation requirements.
If comparing it with a currently sold 60 cm induction hob, check these points against the alternative’s official documentation:
- Current availability and warranty in your country.
- Appliance dimensions and the precise worktop cutout.
- Electrical connection rating and local installation requirements.
- Zone diameters and boost ratings against the cookware you use.
- Control layout, timer and safety features.
- Availability of manuals, service and revision-matched spare parts.
No named competing model or independent performance data was established here, so specifications alone cannot support a claim that the PIE631FB1E cooks better or is more reliable than another hob.
