- Compare cost with expected output. In Classic, weigh a player’s price against the fantasy contribution you expect rather than choosing on reputation alone.
- Check minutes and consistency. Prior-season playing time and performance can help frame expectations, but a changed role may make old numbers less predictive.
- Follow preseason form and role. Look for signs of how a player is being used as the season approaches.
- Consider matchup and venue. Evaluate the opponent and whether the game is at home or away as part of your decision.
