To find the right Bluetooth driver for an HP PC running Windows 10, identify the exact HP product and download its driver from HP’s Software and Drivers page. There is no single Bluetooth driver for every HP computer: the correct package depends on the PC’s wireless hardware. First check that the computer supports Bluetooth; a missing Bluetooth entry may mean it has no Bluetooth hardware, not that it needs a download.
Before downloading a Bluetooth driver, check that your HP PC has Bluetooth
- Open Device Manager: right-click Start and select Device Manager.
- Look for a Bluetooth or Bluetooth Radios category. If it appears, expand it to see whether a Bluetooth adapter is listed.
- If Bluetooth is absent, check the specifications for your exact HP product on HP’s support site. HP recommends verifying the product’s specifications rather than assuming a driver can add unsupported hardware (HP Support: Fix Bluetooth problems).
If the PC’s specifications confirm that it has no Bluetooth hardware, a USB Bluetooth adapter can add Bluetooth support. It is not a fix for a corrupted or incompatible driver when the PC already has an adapter (HP Support: Fix Bluetooth problems).

How to download the correct HP Bluetooth driver
- Identify the exact HP product model. Check the product label or the model information in Windows; do not choose a driver based only on “HP” or “Windows 10.”
- Go to HP Software and Drivers and enter the product information to find downloads for that PC.
- Choose the Bluetooth or wireless driver listed for your product and Windows version. Check the package details before installing.
- Run the downloaded installer and follow its instructions. Restart the PC if prompted.
If Windows does not find a driver, Microsoft recommends getting the latest Bluetooth driver from the PC manufacturer. Driver packages vary by product and wireless adapter. For example, HP lists Intel Bluetooth Driver v. 22.190.0.2 for Windows 10 22H2 for a specified set of products; that listing is not a recommendation for other HP models (HP driver notice).

Try these checks if Bluetooth is missing, will not pair, or has audio problems
A driver is only one possible cause. Microsoft notes that an outdated or incompatible driver is one of the most common causes of Bluetooth connection problems (Microsoft Support: Fix Bluetooth problems in Windows). Check settings and the accessory before reinstalling software.

- Make sure Bluetooth is turned on and Airplane mode is off.
- Check that the accessory is powered on and discoverable. Keep it close to the PC; HP gives 10 m (33 ft) as a usual proximity guideline, not a guaranteed range.
- Restart both the PC and the accessory. If they were paired before, remove the old pairing in Windows Bluetooth settings and pair again.
- Move other wireless devices away and, if relevant, disconnect nearby USB 3.0 equipment that may interfere.
Update or reinstall the Bluetooth adapter in Device Manager
Try Windows Update driver search first
- Right-click Start and open Device Manager.
- Expand Bluetooth, right-click the listed adapter, and choose Update driver.
- Select Search automatically for drivers and follow any on-screen instructions.
- If Windows finds no update, use HP’s driver page for the exact PC model instead. Restart if prompted.
Windows menu wording can differ slightly by version. Microsoft’s current instructions for updating and reinstalling a Bluetooth driver are available in its Bluetooth troubleshooting guide.
Reinstall only if the adapter appears but Bluetooth is still broken
- In Device Manager, expand Bluetooth and right-click the adapter.
- Select Uninstall device and confirm. Avoid removing unrelated devices.
- Restart the PC. Windows may reinstall the driver automatically.
- If it does not, open Device Manager and select Action > Scan for hardware changes. If the adapter still fails, install the matching driver from HP.
When to use HP diagnostics or seek repair
HP PC Hardware Diagnostics Windows supports Windows 10 and Windows 11 and includes driver checks or updates for select components, as well as hardware tests (HP PC Hardware Diagnostics). Use HP support or repair guidance if a diagnostic reports a hardware fault, or if Bluetooth remains absent after you confirm the model supports it and check its settings.

Windows 10 support ended in 2025
Microsoft ended Windows 10 support on October 14, 2025. Windows 10 PCs may continue to work, but Microsoft no longer provides free Windows Update software updates, technical assistance, or security fixes for the operating system (Microsoft: Windows 10 support ended). This does not change which Bluetooth driver fits an HP model, but it matters when deciding whether to keep using Windows 10.
