Bluehost packages hosting, a domain for the first year on its paid plan, SSL, backups, WooCommerce, Yoast SEO Premium and human support. Framer is a visual canvas with AI-generated pages, native CMS connections, code components and agency-oriented design tools. The right choice depends less on which interface looks easier and more on whether your site is fundamentally a managed WordPress project or a highly art-directed marketing experience.
Bluehost AI Website Builder vs Framer at a glance
| Decision factor | Bluehost AI Website Builder | Framer |
|---|---|---|
| Best for | Small businesses, solopreneurs and entrepreneurs needing a hosted WordPress site or store | Designers, agencies, startups and marketing teams prioritising visual polish and interactions |
| Starting workflow | Answer industry questions, add brand assets and a reference URL, then refine the generated site | Describe a site or page in a prompt, edit the generated project on a visual canvas and refine with AI |
| Hosting | Bluehost hosting bundled with the builder | Framer hosting for paid publishing |
| Domain | First year included on the paid Get Online plan | First year included on yearly plans according to Framer’s comparison page |
| Editing | Chat-based and inline AI, drag-and-drop controls and conventional WordPress editing | Visual canvas, prompts, plugins and code components |
| CMS | WordPress ecosystem | Native CMS connected to the canvas and AI agents |
| SEO | Yoast SEO Premium included on the paid plan | Built-in SEO controls, with more implementation work left to the site owner |
| Commerce | WooCommerce included | No native WooCommerce feature is listed in Framer’s comparison |
| Support | 24/7 human support on paid plans | Documentation, with priority or dedicated support described for higher tiers |
| Code export | No full code export listed | No full code export listed in the comparison |
These differences make the decision fairly clear: Bluehost reduces the operational work of launching a conventional business site, while Framer gives a designer more control over the presentation and interaction model.

What Bluehost AI Website Builder actually provides
Bluehost describes its product as an AI-powered way to create a fully hosted WordPress website without coding or previous WordPress knowledge. During setup, you identify your industry and answer guided questions. You can provide a logo, photos and a reference URL so the generator has concrete brand direction. The flow can create either a standard business site or an online store, after which you can continue with drag-and-drop editing or ask the AI to make changes through chat.
Recommended Free Tools
The paid Get Online plan is listed at $15.99 per month when billed monthly or $9.99 per month on one- or two-year terms in Bluehost’s 2026 materials. The same offer lists a 14-day free trial, a first-year domain, free SSL, weekly backups, a CDN, cPanel, 20 GB of storage, WooCommerce, Yoast SEO Premium, 30 AI tokens in the first month and 20 AI tokens in each following month. Prices, renewal terms and included limits can change, so treat those figures as the published snapshot and confirm them at checkout.

- Read Before You Buy — No Video Output: These adapters support charging and USB 2.0 data transfer, but cannot transmit video signals. Except for standard USB webcams (which use USB data only), they are not compatible with HDMI/DisplayPort cables, video-capable USB-C hubs, or docking stations with video output.
- Convert USB-A Ports to USB-C: Designed to connect USB-C earphones, cables, flash drives, card readers, and other USB-C accessories to standard USB-A ports. Plug-and-play with no drivers or software required.
- Aluminum Alloy Housing: Built with a sturdy aluminum alloy shell that aids in heat dissipation and protects against daily wear and scratches. Designed to maintain a stable and secure connection.
- Compact & Travel-Friendly: The ultra-compact design allows the adapter to stay plugged into your device without blocking adjacent ports or adding bulk, reducing wear and tear on your original USB ports.
- 12-Month Warranty: Backed by a 12-month manufacturer warranty for peace of mind. Designed to meet strict quality control standards for reliable everyday performance.
Bluehost’s help documentation says customers keep full ownership of their content and data with Bluehost Shared hosting. That is useful if you are building a long-lived WordPress operation, but it should not be confused with full code portability: the builder’s comparison does not list a one-click export of an entire site as standalone code.
Bluehost also presents WordPress as powering 43% of the web. That is a Bluehost claim from 2026, not an independent measurement supplied for this comparison. The practical implication is that you are entering a large WordPress ecosystem of themes, plugins and service providers, rather than a closed visual-design system.
What Framer is designed to do
Framer positions itself as a visual website platform for agency sites, CMS-driven websites, landing pages, marketing sites, no-code projects, AI generation and Figma-to-website workflows. Its central metaphor is a design canvas: you arrange responsive layouts visually, then publish through Framer’s hosting.
What’s actually slowing this PC down?
Pick the symptom - the matching free tool is one click away.
Framer’s AI page says you can describe the website, page or update you need and have an AI agent create editable pages, sections, copy and visuals directly in the project. You can keep refining in the conversation or take over on the canvas at any time. This is materially different from a wizard that mainly fills a fixed business template: the generated result remains a design object you can reshape.

Framer documents agents that work with CMS collections and their content, create code components, and review a project for contrast problems, typos, missing alternative text, SEO gaps and inconsistent styles before publishing. Those capabilities are particularly useful when a team is iterating on a campaign site or maintaining a content-rich marketing presence. They also mean that someone on the team still needs to make design and content decisions; AI generation does not remove the need for review.
How the initial setup differs
Launching with Bluehost
- Start the builder and choose a site type. Select an online store if you need commerce features, or a non-commerce business site if you only need informational pages and lead capture.
- Answer the industry questions. Give the guided flow the business category, services and audience details it requests. Specific answers produce more relevant starting copy than generic descriptions.
- Add brand inputs. Upload your logo and photos and provide a reference URL when you have an existing visual direction. These inputs help the first draft reflect your identity instead of a generic template.
- Review the generated WordPress site. Check navigation, service descriptions, contact details, imagery and mobile layouts before publishing. AI-generated text should be treated as a draft.
- Refine the pages. Use chat or inline AI for copy and layout changes, then use drag-and-drop and WordPress controls for precise edits.
- Configure operations. Confirm the domain, SSL, backups, SEO settings and, for a store, WooCommerce products, payments, shipping and tax rules before accepting orders.
The advantage is a guided path with hosting and support already attached. The trade-off is that your project follows WordPress and the builder’s available controls rather than giving you an unrestricted design canvas from the first minute.
Launching with Framer
- Describe the project in a prompt. State the audience, page types, tone, visual references and required sections. Include responsive behaviour and any CMS content structure you already know you need.
- Inspect the editable result. Framer’s agent creates pages, sections, copy and visuals inside the project. Verify hierarchy, typography, image rights, links and responsive breakpoints rather than assuming the first draft is production-ready.
- Take over on the canvas. Adjust spacing, grids, components, animation and breakpoints visually. This is where Framer’s design-first workflow diverges most from a guided WordPress builder.
- Connect the CMS. Define collections and fields, bind repeating content to the design and test empty, long and unusually formatted entries. Framer’s documented agents can work with CMS collections, but the content model still needs human governance.
- Add code components or plugins where necessary. Use them for interactions or behaviours that the visual controls do not cover, and test them at the viewport sizes your visitors use.
- Run pre-publish reviews. Use the documented agent checks for contrast, typos, missing alt text, SEO gaps and inconsistent styles, then manually test forms, navigation and analytics.
Framer gives a designer more freedom earlier in the process. That flexibility can accelerate a polished landing page, but it also makes information architecture, accessibility and content QA your responsibility.

Hosting, domain and maintenance
Bluehost bundles the website with its own hosting and lists a first-year domain, SSL, weekly backups, CDN, cPanel and 20 GB of storage on the paid Get Online plan. A small business can therefore launch without assembling separate hosting and maintenance services. Confirm renewal pricing and resource policies before committing to a long term.

- Flawless 4K@60Hz Video with HDMI: Delivers exceptional clarity and smoothness with its 4K@60Hz HDMI port, making it ideal for high-definition presentations and entertainment. (Note: Only the HDMI port supports video projection; the USB-C port is for data transfer only.)

Framer provides hosting for paid publishing. Its comparison page says yearly plans include a domain for the first year. The cited materials do not state storage quotas, backup schedules or equivalent control-panel features, so do not assume they match Bluehost’s package. Framer is simpler when your priority is publishing a visual site; Bluehost exposes more of the conventional hosting stack.
AI and editing control
Bluehost’s AI is oriented around getting a WordPress site started and then changing it through chat, inline prompts and drag-and-drop tools. It is a practical approach for an owner who wants to describe a service business and receive a usable first draft.
Framer’s AI creates editable pages, sections, copy and visuals, then lets you continue the conversation or work directly on the canvas. Its agents can also operate on CMS content, create code components and perform design and content checks. That combination favours teams that care about art direction, interaction design and repeatable component systems.
Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minute2Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errors3Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitchesCMS and content operations
Bluehost inherits WordPress’s CMS model and plugin ecosystem. That is a strong foundation for a business that expects to add pages, blog content, forms or commerce capabilities over time, although plugin selection and maintenance become part of the operating job.

- Please Note: To reach 10Gbps speed, keep the cable under 3.3 ft. For USB A Male to USB C adapters, try flipping the USB C connector. USB C Male to USB A adapters support bidirectional 10Gbps transfer within 3.3 ft
Framer’s CMS is integrated with its canvas, and its AI agents are documented as working with collections and content. This can keep a marketing team close to the visual system while publishing structured content. The supplied comparison does not establish the size of either platform’s CMS limits, so check the current plan details for item, locale and editor allowances.
Search optimisation and accessibility checks
Bluehost includes Yoast SEO Premium on the paid plan, giving a WordPress site a familiar framework for metadata and on-page optimisation. You still need accurate titles, descriptions, internal links, redirects, schema choices and useful content; an included plugin does not guarantee rankings.
Framer lists built-in SEO tools and documents AI reviews for SEO gaps, contrast, missing alternative text and inconsistent styles. These checks can catch common omissions before launch, but they are review aids rather than a substitute for testing keyboard navigation, focus states, page speed, structured data and real search performance.
Online selling
Bluehost’s paid offer includes WooCommerce, and the setup flow can create an online store. That makes it the practical default when the website must manage products, carts and checkout inside a WordPress commerce stack. You remain responsible for configuring payment gateways, taxes, shipping, returns, stock and legal disclosures.
Best Value
- 5-in-1 Connectivity: Equipped with a 4K HDMI port, a 5 Gbps USB-C data port, two 5 Gbps USB-A ports, and a USB C 100W PD-IN port. Note: The USB C 100W PD-IN port supports only charging and does not support data transfer devices such as headphones or speakers.
- Powerful Pass-Through Charging: Supports up to 85W pass-through charging so you can power up your laptop while you use the hub. Note: Pass-through charging requires a charger (not included). Note: To achieve full power for iPad, we recommend using a 45W wall charger.
- Transfer Files in Seconds: Move files to and from your laptop at speeds of up to 5 Gbps via the USB-C and USB-A data ports. Note: The USB C 5Gbps Data port does not support video output.
- HD Display: Connect to the HDMI port to stream or mirror content to an external monitor in resolutions of up to 4K@30Hz. Note: The USB-C ports do not support video output.
- What You Get: Anker 332 USB-C Hub (5-in-1), welcome guide, our worry-free 18-month warranty, and friendly customer service.
Framer’s comparison does not list native WooCommerce support. The supplied product information therefore does not establish an equivalent built-in store workflow. Framer can still be considered for a campaign or product-presentation site, but choose it for commerce only after verifying the exact checkout and integration path your business requires.
Support and ownership
Bluehost advertises 24/7 human support on paid plans, which can matter when a small team encounters a domain, hosting or WordPress issue outside business hours. Bluehost’s help page also states that customers retain full ownership of their content and data with Bluehost Shared hosting.
Framer’s comparison describes documentation and higher-tier priority or dedicated support. The right fit depends on how much of the implementation your team can handle independently. Neither cited comparison lists full code export, so plan on operating the site within the selected platform unless you verify a supported migration route.
Pricing: why the numbers need careful reading
| Product and page | Published figure | Qualification |
|---|---|---|
| Bluehost Get Online | $15.99 per month | Monthly billing snapshot from Bluehost’s 2026 help material |
| Bluehost Get Online | $9.99 per month | One- or two-year term snapshot from the same material |
| Bluehost trial | 14 days | Free-trial period listed by Bluehost |
| Bluehost AI allowance | 30 tokens first month; 20 per month thereafter | Allowance stated for the listed paid offer |
| Framer Basic | $10 per month | Annual-billing figure shown on Framer’s comparison page |
| Framer Starter | $29 per month | Plan example displayed on Framer’s current AI page |
| Framer Professional | $49 per month | Plan example displayed on Framer’s current AI page |
These figures are not a like-for-like price list. Bluehost’s numbers describe a specific Get Online offer with hosting, WordPress features and a trial, while Framer’s pages show different plan examples and billing contexts. The Basic comparison price and the Starter and Professional AI-page examples may reflect different plan views, regions or intervals. Check the plan name, billing frequency, renewal price, included editors, CMS limits, traffic allowances and domain terms at checkout.
Which platform fits your situation?
Choose Bluehost when you need a conventional business site
- You want a guided launch rather than a blank design canvas.
- You need WordPress, WooCommerce or a broad plugin ecosystem.
- You prefer bundled hosting, SSL, backups, CDN and cPanel.
- You want Yoast SEO Premium included and access to 24/7 human support.
- You are a small-business owner or solopreneur who does not want to learn WordPress administration before publishing.
Choose Framer when design quality is the primary requirement
- You are a designer, agency, startup or marketing team shaping a distinctive visual identity.
- You need canvas-level control over responsive layouts, interactions and components.
- You want AI to generate editable pages and visuals, then iterate through a conversational workflow.
- Your content team benefits from a CMS connected directly to the design system.
- You are comfortable owning accessibility, SEO implementation and pre-launch QA.
When neither is an automatic fit
If your project needs a highly specialised application, complex membership logic, unusual checkout rules or guaranteed standalone code portability, the cited materials do not establish that either product meets those requirements. Define the integration, export and operational requirements first, then verify them against current documentation instead of selecting on headline price alone.
Common pitfalls and how to avoid them
- Choosing from the first AI draft. Treat generated copy and imagery as starting material. Check factual claims, service areas, contact details, accessibility and mobile layouts before publishing.
- Comparing monthly and annual prices as if they were identical. Record the billing interval, term, renewal price and region for each quote.
- Assuming a domain is free forever. The documented domain benefit is for the first year under specified plans; verify renewal charges.
- Ignoring AI limits. Bluehost lists 30 tokens in the first month and 20 ongoing monthly tokens for the cited offer. Plan large batches of revisions so you do not mistake a token limit for a technical failure.
- Underestimating commerce setup. WooCommerce being included does not configure payments, tax, shipping, stock or returns automatically.
- Skipping accessibility review. Framer’s agents can flag contrast and missing alt text, but manually test keyboard access, focus order, labels and motion.
- Assuming visual polish equals search visibility. Configure metadata, headings, internal links, redirects, structured data and analytics on either platform.
- Expecting a full-code escape hatch. Neither comparison lists full code export. Keep original copy, images, domain credentials and analytics settings organised in case you later rebuild elsewhere.
Bottom-line recommendation
For most small businesses launching a service site or store, Bluehost AI Website Builder is the safer practical choice because the guided WordPress workflow includes hosting, a domain for the first year, SSL, backups, CDN, WooCommerce, Yoast SEO Premium and 24/7 human support. For a design-led marketing site, agency portfolio or startup launch where visual control and interaction design are worth more than an all-in-one WordPress package, Framer is the stronger fit. Verify current pricing and plan limits at checkout, then choose the platform whose operating model matches the work you will maintain after launch.
