The idea was expansive; the interview and later announcements document what the company said it was building at the time, not what is available today.
What did Mark Arthur say Paiblock was meant to do?
Arthur compared Paiblock to a virtual shopping center: one app where people could manage financial activity and parts of their digital identity. The interview presented it as a platform for digitally oriented consumers, retail banking customers, and organizations that might send bills or identity credentials into a user’s wallet. TechBullion’s interview with Arthur was published November 18, 2020.

That vision covered several jobs normally handled by separate services. Arthur’s examples included paying for a morning purchase, shopping and receiving cashback, storing payment and loyalty cards, sending money, and checking an account. He also described access to current, mortgage, and savings accounts, alongside tools to understand student-loan and credit-card debt. These were descriptions from the interview, not independently tested capabilities.
Which features were described, and when?
Paiblock’s public descriptions changed over time. The sources below are announcements and a profile from 2020–2024; they do not confirm current availability or operating status.

| Date and source | What was described | What it establishes |
|---|---|---|
| May 13, 2020, company-submitted announcement republished by TechBullion | In-app access to US bank accounts, aggregation of checking, savings, and mortgage accounts, transaction-history viewing and sharing, money transfers, and digital account-opening and loan-application workflows. | A historical product announcement, not current bank coverage. Read the announcement. |
| November 18, 2020, TechBullion interview | Payments, banking, financial-management tools, identity credentials, and a citizens’ wallet. The interview said a social-security-card feature had been rolled out in 34 countries. | Arthur’s account of the product at that time; the country count and feature availability are not independently verified and do not establish present-day coverage. | May 5, 2021, company announcement | A revamped personal assistant for saving, spending, borrowing, and investing, with spending plans, monitoring against debt, investments, and savings, cross-bank overviews, and Monte Carlo portfolio simulation. | Features Paiblock announced, not independently demonstrated performance or financial outcomes. Read the announcement. |
| March 2024, secondary profile | Identity credential management, government credentials, and Paiblock Coin. | Evidence of topics publicly discussed then, not confirmation of current coin use, adoption, or wallet support. Read the profile. |
How did the identity-wallet flow work in the interview?
The 2020 interview described adding a social-security card through a citizens’ wallet. Arthur’s stated sequence was:
- Log in to Paiblock.
- Open the citizens’ wallet.
- Tap “Add.”
- Select a country and add the card.
The interview characterized this feature as part of a rollout in 34 countries. That is a dated company claim, not evidence that the feature is now offered in those countries or that every country’s credentials were supported in the same way.

What did Paiblock claim about security and regulation?
Zero-knowledge proof
Arthur said Paiblock was rolling out zero-knowledge proof so users could access services across web and mobile without disclosing confidential information such as a password. The interview does not explain the implementation or cite an independent security audit. It is therefore best understood as a stated technical objective, not a verified security guarantee.

Regulatory status
The interview called Paiblock regulated and supervised by “the FInancial Services Authority,” but did not identify a jurisdiction or provide registry evidence. That wording is not enough to establish which regulator, if any, supervised the company, or to support a current regulatory-status claim.
Rank #3
What should readers take away from the interview?
Paiblock’s proposition was to unite payment, bank access, money-management tools, and identity credentials in one digital platform. Its scope is clearer than its present-day status: the available descriptions are dated, and they do not confirm whether the app, bank connections, identity wallet, or announced tools remain accessible. Readers evaluating the service should verify those points directly before relying on it for financial accounts or identity documents.
