How much water does the KAS2IN1DAFA remove per day?
Kogan’s user guide gives two extraction figures: 12 L/day at 30°C and 80% relative humidity, and 6 L/day at 27°C and 60% relative humidity. The difference shows why the larger headline figure should not be treated as the expected daily yield in an ordinary cooler or drier room. Actual collection depends on the room’s temperature and humidity.
CHOICE’s public page also reports the claimed 12 L/day figure, but does not expose its measured water-removal result. There is therefore no accessible independent figure here to confirm how closely real-world extraction matches Kogan’s claims.
Is it also an air purifier?
Yes, in the sense that the appliance includes a HEPA 13 filter intended to capture airborne particles. Kogan advertises “up to 99.97%” particle capture. That is a manufacturer claim; the available sources do not provide an independent filtration test or a clean-air delivery rate for this model. The percentage alone does not show how quickly the unit cleans a room or establish a room-level health outcome.

Kogan lists airflow of up to 120 m³/h, but airflow is not a substitute for a clean-air delivery rate. Shoppers prioritising air cleaning should look for independent filtration evidence and a model-specific clean-air delivery figure before comparing it with a dedicated purifier.
How often will you need to empty the tank?
The tank holds 2.5 L, while the stated extraction reaches 12 L/day under Kogan’s warm, humid test conditions. In those conditions, the claimed daily volume is almost five tankfuls. The actual interval between emptying depends on extraction in your room; the appliance is listed as shutting off automatically when the tank is full.
A drain pipe is included for continuous drainage. If you intend to use it, follow the model’s manual for installation and drainage setup rather than assuming any hose position or outlet arrangement will work.

Does it work with 5GHz Wi-Fi?
No. Kogan specifies that app connectivity uses 2.4GHz Wi-Fi and is not compatible with 5GHz networks. Check that your router can provide a 2.4GHz connection for setup and operation.

Who should consider the Kogan KAS2IN1DAFA?
Consider it if you want a single appliance with dehumidification and a HEPA 13 filter, your intended room fits Kogan’s stated 15–20 m² coverage, and you can use 2.4GHz Wi-Fi if you want app control. Continuous drainage may also make the small tank less inconvenient where the included pipe can be installed appropriately.
Look elsewhere or compare carefully if you need independently verified extraction, energy use, noise or air-cleaning performance. The public evidence does not settle those questions, and the 12 L/day headline applies only to the specified 30°C/80% RH condition.
