Outbyte Driver Updater FREEScan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minuteDriver Scan →Outbyte PC Repair FREERepair Windows errors before they cause bigger problemsFix Now →Biz.nf is the better choice for the lowest-cost website, including free hosting and inexpensive shared plans. Liquid Web is the better choice when you need managed VPS infrastructure, dedicated resources, stronger contractual uptime language, or room for a business application to grow. The price gap is only part of the decision. Biz.nf’s “unlimited” shared plans trade control for simplicity, while Liquid Web assigns CPU, memory and storage on infrastructure designed for more demanding workloads. Neither provider has independently comparable September 2026 speed or uptime measurements in the available evidence, so the practical choice depends on your site’s resource needs, operational skills and tolerance for downtime.
Quick verdict: which host wins?
| Priority | Better fit | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Spend as little as possible | Biz.nf | It offers a free plan, then low-cost shared plans priced from $4.95 per month on annual prepayment during the listed promotion. |
| A brochure site, hobby project or small personal blog | Biz.nf | Shared hosting includes PHP/MySQL, FTP, a site builder and one-click installers without requiring server administration. |
| Predictable allocated resources | Liquid Web | Its managed VPS plans specify vCPU, RAM, SSD storage and bandwidth instead of relying on shared-plan “unlimited” language. |
| Managed operations | Liquid Web | The company sells managed VPS and dedicated infrastructure, alongside WordPress, WooCommerce, email and reseller products. |
| Published uptime commitment | Liquid Web | Liquid Web advertises a 99.999% uptime guarantee; Biz.nf lists a 99.9% guarantee. |
| Lowest technical overhead | Biz.nf for simple sites; Liquid Web for complex sites | Biz.nf minimizes hosting cost and setup work. Liquid Web can reduce the staff time involved in maintaining a production server. |
“Wins” therefore depends on the workload. A free or shared account is a sensible place for a low-traffic site that can tolerate shared-server limits. Paying for managed VPS hosting becomes easier to justify when a checkout, client portal, API, database or revenue-producing application needs reserved capacity and someone must handle infrastructure problems.

What Biz.nf and Liquid Web are selling
Biz.nf: free and low-cost shared hosting first
Biz.nf describes its service as providing “reliable cluster-based free hosting sites and low cost advanced web hosting solutions.” Its entry-level offering is genuinely free rather than a short trial. The current home page lists 1,000 MB of web space, 5,000 MB of monthly transfer, one domain, PHP/MySQL and FTP access, and no forced advertising.
Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problems2Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitches3Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errorsPaid Biz.nf plans remain primarily shared hosting. The plan comparison lists free domain registration on paid plans, weekly backups, site builders, one-click installers, 24/7 support and a 99.9% uptime guarantee. Those features can cover a conventional WordPress installation, portfolio, landing page or small informational site without the customer managing an operating system.
#1 Best Overall
Liquid Web: managed infrastructure across several product types
Liquid Web’s catalog is aimed at customers who need more than a basic shared account. Its hosting pages cover managed and self-managed VPS, dedicated servers, WordPress, WooCommerce, email and reseller services. The managed VPS product is the relevant comparison for a site that has outgrown shared hosting but does not want to administer every server component itself.
Liquid Web’s pricing page uses the line “Transparent pricing, no surprises.” In practice, you still need to read whether a displayed amount is promotional, how long it lasts and whether the plan is managed or self-managed. The managed and self-managed options are not interchangeable: the cheaper self-managed price assumes that you or your administrator can perform more of the operating work.
Pricing: compare renewal cost, not only the first monthly figure
Biz.nf listed plans
Biz.nf presents its paid prices as monthly equivalents when paid annually. The September 2026 plan page lists the following figures:
| Biz.nf option | Promotional price | Regular listed price | Billing qualification | Notable limits or features |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Free | $0 | Not applicable | Free hosting | 1,000 MB web space, 5,000 MB monthly transfer, one domain, PHP/MySQL, FTP and no forced ads |
| Personal | $4.95/month | $6.95/month | Annual-prepayment equivalent | Unlimited web space and data transfer are listed; paid-plan features include a free domain registration, weekly backups, builders and installers |
| Business | $6.95/month | $10.95/month | Annual-prepayment equivalent | Unlimited web space and data transfer are listed; see the current comparison for the exact plan-specific feature allocation |
The promotional numbers are not the amount to use for a long-term budget. At the regular listed rates, the Personal plan is $2 more per month than its promotion and the Business plan is $4 more. Confirm the renewal amount and the annual charge at checkout, because the table expresses an annual commitment as a monthly equivalent.

Liquid Web listed VPS pricing
| Liquid Web VPS option | Listed monthly price | Published allocation or qualification |
|---|---|---|
| Managed VPS entry tier | $14.75/month | 2 vCPU, 2 GB RAM, 40 GB SSD and 10 TB bandwidth |
| Managed VPS higher tier | $24.75/month | Higher tier; the cited pricing summary does not state the allocation |
| Managed VPS higher tier | $34.75/month | Higher tier; the cited pricing summary does not state the allocation |
| Self-managed VPS promotion | From $8.50/month | Promotional self-managed pricing; management scope differs from managed VPS |
The $14.75 managed entry tier costs more than either paid Biz.nf shared plan at its promotion and more than the regular Personal rate. That premium buys a different hosting model, not merely more disk space. Liquid Web’s $8.50 figure is not a like-for-like bargain against the managed tier: it is promotional self-managed pricing, so the customer must account for administration, patching, monitoring and troubleshooting responsibilities.
How to calculate your real first-year and renewal budgets
- Write down the amount charged at signup, not just the displayed monthly equivalent.
- Record the billing term. Biz.nf’s paid figures are annual-prepayment equivalents.
- Record the regular renewal figure shown for the same plan. For Biz.nf, that is $6.95 per month for Personal and $10.95 for Business on the current comparison.
- For Liquid Web, verify how long any discount lasts and whether the displayed amount applies to a managed or self-managed service.
- Add domain-registration, email, backup, migration or software costs that are not included in the hosting figure you are comparing.
- Price the staff time required to run the server. A lower self-managed bill can be more expensive if an employee or contractor must handle incidents.
Hosting model and resource control
What “unlimited” means on Biz.nf shared plans
Biz.nf’s paid comparison lists unlimited web space and data transfer. That is a plan description, not proof that a site can consume unlimited CPU, RAM, disk input/output or database activity. Shared servers divide physical resources among many accounts and enforce acceptable-use, performance or security policies. A site with a sudden traffic spike, intensive background jobs, a large database or many simultaneous dynamic requests can still encounter limits even when storage and transfer are described as unlimited.
The free plan is more explicit: 1,000 MB of storage and 5,000 MB of monthly transfer. Those allowances are suitable for a small site whose media library and traffic remain modest. If you expect high-resolution media, downloads or a growing store, estimate the monthly transfer and storage before selecting free hosting.
Quick wins for a faster PC:
Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errorsFree Scan →Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minuteDriver Scan →Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problemsFix Now →What a Liquid Web VPS allocates
The managed VPS entry plan publishes 2 vCPU, 2 GB of RAM, 40 GB of SSD storage and 10 TB of bandwidth. Allocated figures make capacity planning more concrete: you can estimate how much memory your application needs, how much SSD space its database and backups consume, and when a larger tier may be required.
Rank #3
Biz.nf’s VPS page lists Webmin, root access, XEN virtualization, monitoring and monthly tiers of $12.95, $22.95 and $42.95. Those plans move beyond shared hosting by giving the customer administrative control. Root access is powerful but creates responsibility for updates, hardening, service configuration and recovery. Webmin can simplify common administration tasks, but it does not remove the need to understand the operating system.
Liquid Web’s managed VPS is the more suitable direction when you need allocated resources but prefer the provider to handle much of the server operation. If you choose Liquid Web’s self-managed option, treat it as an administrator-led product rather than a cheaper version of managed hosting.
Reliability: guarantees are commitments, not measured performance
Biz.nf lists a 99.9% uptime guarantee in its plan comparison. Liquid Web advertises a 99.999% uptime guarantee. The latter is a stronger published commitment on paper, but neither percentage proves that every customer will experience that result. A guarantee normally has eligibility rules, exclusions, maintenance terms and a remedy process; read the provider’s current service-level language before relying on it for a contract or revenue forecast.
The available September 2026 information contains vendor guarantees and marketing claims, not a directly comparable independent dataset measuring response time or real-world uptime for both hosts. It would be inaccurate to call either host objectively faster or to promise that Liquid Web will eliminate every outage. The useful distinction is that Liquid Web publishes a tighter target and sells infrastructure intended for workloads where downtime has a larger operational cost.

Questions to ask before treating uptime as a deciding factor
- What events are excluded from the guarantee, including scheduled maintenance, customer configuration and third-party software?
- Is compensation a service credit, and what documentation or monitoring is required to claim it?
- Does the guarantee apply to the exact product and region you are buying?
- How are backups, restoration and disaster recovery handled if the server or application fails?
Which host fits common workloads?
Personal blog, portfolio or simple brochure site
Start with Biz.nf’s free plan if 1,000 MB of storage, 5,000 MB of monthly transfer and one domain cover the site. Move to Personal when you need the paid-plan features, a free domain registration or more headroom than the free allowances provide. A low-traffic site usually does not benefit from paying for a managed VPS before it has a resource or reliability requirement that shared hosting cannot meet.
Small business site with forms and moderate traffic
Biz.nf Business may be sufficient when the site is primarily informational and the business can tolerate shared-server constraints. Keep current backups outside the host and monitor response times, error rates and transfer usage. If slowdowns, resource throttling or operational interruptions begin affecting leads, evaluate a managed VPS rather than assuming an “unlimited” label solves the problem.
Online store, membership site or client portal
These workloads add database queries, authenticated sessions, scheduled jobs and consequences when the site is unavailable. A Liquid Web managed VPS gives you a published baseline of 2 vCPU, 2 GB RAM, 40 GB SSD and 10 TB bandwidth at the entry tier, with higher tiers available. Confirm that the application, database, payment integrations and backup plan fit the selected allocation; do not infer suitability from bandwidth alone.

Agency managing several client sites
Agencies should separate hosting capacity from account-management needs. Liquid Web offers reseller products and an agency partner program, while Biz.nf’s shared plans may be economical for small, low-risk client sites. Decide whether you need centralized billing, migrations, support escalation, isolated resources or root-level customization. The cheapest per-site plan can create more work when clients expect rapid incident response.
Best Value
- It can be a gift option
- Comes with secure packaging
- Helpful in various ways
Custom application or scaling service
If you need operating-system choices, root access, background workers, a custom web stack or predictable CPU and memory, shared hosting is the wrong model. Compare Biz.nf VPS tiers with Liquid Web managed VPS on administration effort as well as price. A self-managed VPS can work for an experienced administrator; a managed VPS is usually the safer operational choice when no one on the team owns patching and incident response.

Moving from Biz.nf shared hosting to a VPS
- Inventory the site: domains, DNS records, databases, PHP version, scheduled jobs, mailboxes, SSL certificates and third-party integrations.
- Measure current storage, database size, monthly transfer and peak resource use. The word “unlimited” does not provide a capacity estimate.
- Take a restorable backup of files and databases before changing DNS.
- Recreate the application and least-privilege accounts on the destination VPS. If you use root access, document every package and configuration change.
- Test the site on a temporary hostname or hosts-file override, including checkout, forms, logins, cron jobs, email and redirects.
- Lower DNS time-to-live before the cutover, switch records during a quiet period and keep the old account available until logs confirm that traffic has moved.
- After propagation, monitor errors, certificate validity, mail delivery and resource consumption. Schedule regular off-server backups.
Operational difference between managed and self-managed
With managed VPS hosting, clarify what the provider actually maintains: operating-system updates, security patches, monitoring, backups, control-panel software and recovery assistance. With self-managed VPS hosting, assign those tasks to a named person or service and document an emergency procedure. Root access without a maintenance plan turns a low monthly price into a single point of failure.
A practical decision framework
- Set the maximum acceptable monthly and annual cost. If the answer is zero, Biz.nf is the only option in this comparison with a free plan. If you can spend roughly $5–$11 per month on annual-prepaid shared hosting, compare Biz.nf’s paid plans with their regular renewal rates.
- Define the workload. Static pages and light CMS use favor shared hosting. A store, portal, API or database-heavy application points toward allocated VPS resources.
- Choose who operates the server. Select managed infrastructure when your team cannot own patching, monitoring and incident response. Select self-managed VPS only when those skills and time are available.
- Set a downtime and recovery requirement. Compare the 99.9% and 99.999% published guarantees, then read exclusions and recovery terms rather than treating either number as a measured promise.
- Plan for the next 12–24 months. Include renewal pricing, traffic growth, media and database growth, backups, migration labor and any need for a larger VPS tier.
Bottom-line recommendation by buyer
- Choose Biz.nf free for a small, noncritical site that fits 1,000 MB of storage, 5,000 MB of monthly transfer and one domain.
- Choose Biz.nf Personal or Business when low cost and shared-hosting convenience matter more than reserved CPU, RAM and storage. Budget using the regular listed prices, not only the promotion.
- Choose a Biz.nf VPS when you want a lower-cost virtual server and can manage Webmin, root access, XEN-based virtualization, updates and security yourself.
- Choose Liquid Web managed VPS when the application needs allocated resources, managed operations and a stronger published uptime commitment. The entry point is listed at $14.75 per month for 2 vCPU, 2 GB RAM, 40 GB SSD and 10 TB bandwidth.
- Choose Liquid Web self-managed VPS only when you deliberately want administrative responsibility and have the expertise to operate the server; the listed promotional starting price of $8.50 per month is not equivalent to managed service.
For most beginners and small informational sites, Biz.nf wins on value because it solves the basic hosting problem at the lowest price. For ecommerce, agencies and applications where staff time, capacity planning and downtime risk matter, Liquid Web’s managed infrastructure is the stronger fit despite the higher bill.
